Ready for Another Tour?

I think we just need a 3rd installment and it should be called the Always Been the Problem Tour. 😁

I'm ok with waiting on a new album. I just want to do what we just did again. 😭 Just mix up the setlist a little or maybe a whole tour of fan vote setlists?

I need more!

That is all.

The new playground at McCollum Park in Downers Grove

It is awesome and has a ton of stuff for the kids, but holy moly I don't think anyone considered the amount of static electricity the astroturf creates. My poor kid, I've zapped him HARD at least a dozen times helping him around the place. I got him in the face and he looked at me like WTF 🫪. I feel so bad. 😭

Michael Kors is the best.

I'm rewatching season 9 for probably the 4th time (it's one of the best seasons IMHO) and Michael Kors never fails to crack me up. He always had the best descriptions of what he thought the outfits looked like. This show just ain't what it used to be!

Crowd at Wrigley....

Maybe I'm getting old, but I go to a ton of concerts all over the country and different genres and such, and last night the number of preteen/teen girls that were scantily clad and trying to look like they were in their 20s, was more than I have seen at any concert.

Did anyone else notice this? Like where are your parents? Lol. Where is the rest of your outfit? Do you even know who Tyler Childers is?

I was very surprised by how many very young girls were there.

Also, this was my first time at Wrigley for a concert and I don't think I would go back. The sound was terrible, the stage is so far from everything, and the seats are tiny. Not an ideal place for a concert.

But Tyler was awesome!

ETA since everyone seems to think I'm a grumpy creepy old man and I forgot this is Reddit and God forbid anyone has an opinion! I'm a heavily tattooed middle age woman and a mother with a daughter and sons. I'm not a "judgy" person, this was simply an observation of the crowd. I go to at least 50 concerts a year and I have not seen so many very young people at a show like this yet and I wasn't aware that TC attracted such a young crowd. The woman and her boyfriend next to me had even made comments about it.

I'm aware of how old these girls actually are, and I promise you, the majority of them weren't even old enough to drive.

I'm not saying they shouldn't be there enjoying the show but the sheer number of them was surprising to me. Part of my post was also said in jest so calm down people 🙄.

As far as the sound: Tyler sounded great and I loved his performance, the acoustics not so much. Wrigley is just not meant for concerts and that's that.

I got a cortisone shot in my foot today for my severe PF...

And HOLY CHRIST ON A MOTORBIKE it hurt!

But I'm hoping to feel relief after the next few days because that puppy was so inflamed I don't think all the other tricks in the world would've worked.

I'm looking forward to going to PT and getting some foot and muscle work done. Pray for me this works because I was ready to just chew my foot off at the ankle from the pain.

Ella Langley is meh live.

I can't be the only one that thinks that Ella is not great live? I go to a lot of concerts and last night in Chicago I was not at all impressed with Ella's performance. Her singing was not very good and I'm 99% sure at one point she was faking playing the electric guitar. I couldn't wait for her set to be over, and I do like some of her recorded songs.

Morgan was AMAZING though and his act was one of the best concerts I've ever been to. I can't wait to go again next month.

Has anyone tried the BB ThermoBalance (not the elite version)?

I'm trying to decide between medium and firm. I'm a short, chunky side and stomach sleeper with sensitive pressure points. I'm worried the medium won't be supportive enough for stomach sleeping and the firm may be too firm for side sleeping.

I'm 42F diagnosed with CIS about 3 years ago and then RRMS a year later. I was first diagnosed within a year of my husband tragically passing at the age of 37 when our son was 7 months old. To say the last 4 years have been a struggle is an understatement.

Thankfully the worst of my more serious symptoms have been numbness in my hand and down one side of my body (this was the catalyst for the CIS diagnosis). And a year later half of my face went numb (bumped me up to RRMS).

At first I was afraid to start treatment, but after my face went numb I got scared because I had new and enhancing lesions. I started Briumvi about 2 years ago now (I think? who even understands passing time though 🥴?). I've been pretty happy with it and haven't had any major side effects.

One year after treatment my MRI showed no progression, which is great and the goal, but man if I don't feel like complete garbage every day. I know a lot of it is lifestyle choices that I'm not focused on and need to be - eating healthy, exercising, sleeping enough. But being a widowed single mom who works full time, owns a house that was meant to be managed by two adults, and dealing with my mental and physical health just makes it so hard to take care of myself properly.

Thankfully, I work remotely but my youngest is still only in part time preschool so I juggle my job and taking care of him which is its own stress.

As far as treatment goes, I know that the pros far outweigh the cons, but sometimes I wonder how much of the crappiness I feel is from treatment. I wouldn't go off it at this point, but I wonder how long I'll have to do this and what damage it could be doing. Although I am grateful that I have the accessibility and coverage that I do to receive treatment and that I have an incredible neurologist who specializes in MS.

My son is going to school full day in a few months and I really want to spend that extra free time changing my diet, losing weight, and making other lifestyle changes. I can't wait. But it also exhausts me to think about it 🫠.

What makes this diagnosis so much more difficult is not having my husband here with me. He loved me so much and I know he would've taken the best care of me. I worry that I won't have a partner in the future to be with me through life. I do have my sons and I know they will help but I don't ever want to be a burden on them. I want them to live free and happy lives. I also worry that I won't be around long enough for them. (And now I'm typing this with tears running down my face).

I remember a time when life seemed perfect and everything was finally aligning. I also remember thinking that it was too good to be true and was waiting for the other shoe to drop, and boy did it.

As hard as each day is, I get up and carry on and do what needs to be done, but I'm tired. Oh so tired. And I'm angry and sad and frustrated. But I'm also grateful that I'm still here, that I have breath in my lungs, healthy children, a good job with a very understanding manager, and a nice house. It's such a battle in my mind every day. Do I really have to live like this forever?

Sorry for the sad post and thanks for reading. I just needed to vent in a safe space with others that understand at least some of it.
