My two favorite television shows are Gilmore Girls and The West Wing. One of my favorite facts to share is that both Paris (Liza Weil) and Headmaster Charleston (Dakin Matthews) are in the same episode of TWW (Season 1 Episode 13).

Paris plays an assistant who leaked confidential HR documents to a Senator about the Chief of Staff Leo McGarry’s history of being in rehab. Dakin plays a “friend” of Leo’s who comes to tell him to resign and that he’s writing an op-ed piece about it.

This aired just months before Gilmore Girls began and I just think it’s so funny they’re in the same episode. Liza Weil gave a lovely interview about it on The West Wing Weekly podcast.

Doing a rewatch and I reached S2E2. During one of the flashback scenes to the campaign when they’re discussing leaving New Hampshire, there is a Bartlet/Hoynes bumper sticker on a computer. All the other stickers are just Bartlet or Bartlet for America. He hasn’t won the nomination yet therefore, Hoynes isn’t his running mate. It’s weird that there’s a sticker with both their names as if they’re on the ticket together.

S6E16 - Drought Conditions

In the ending scene at the party, CJ approaches Toby and says:

CJ: Can this be one of those nights where we get sloshed and forget we work together?

Toby: Wow, that would be lovely.

I never really noticed before but this sounds like CJ wants to get drunk and hook up with Toby. And the wording makes it sound like it has happened before.

They’ve always had an intense flirtation but I never thought either had ever acted on it until now. I’m probably misinterpreting the scene, but for some reason this rewatch made me question if they ever did sleep together.

I started Bones recently and immediately fell in love with it. But I’m on S7 now and I have to say…I wish they never made Bones and Booth a couple. I really do not like their dynamic anymore. Booth is so condescending and smarmy about pregnant Bones and it’s annoying. They lost their spark the moment they got together and I’m struggling to keep watching.

*I am hoping it’ll change and I fully understand I have a lot of show left to watch*

Started my umpteenth rewatch recently and I’m at S1 E14 Take This Sabbath Day. I really wished a later season would have revisited the President’s suggestion that Joey Lucas run for office. Don’t get me wrong, I loved her pollster storylines and all she brought to that role, but it would have been cool to see/know she eventually did run for office because the President believed in her.

Are there any storylines you wish the show had pursued beyond a one-off mention?
