I like the warm reflections it gives instead of the overwhelming blue. It also brings out eye color instead of just black eyes
He was puffed up doing his aerial performance

Nikon d850 with Nikon 105mm and teleconverter
I have been in the presence of these birds countless times, but conditions were never right. I watched this one for half an hour, and he flew out of the tree into a nice background
I think it's a Lichen orb weaver?
The flowers are Prairie Clover and Prickly pear cactus
This Vermillion Flycatcher was fighting his reflection in my mirrors, windows, and chrome on my truck when I returned from my hike. I hung out with him a bit, then went home, and hosed off all the bird poo 😂
This Tangled Vein Fly stopped me on my hike because it was so loud. A very large fly that is a grasshopper parasite from the little info I found on it. Inaturalist auto ID is Neorhynchocephalus volaticus, but no one has confirmed yet. I'm in Central Texas
Very interesting subject to photograph and observe. Neorhynchocephalus volaticus
I've been amazed at the native bee diversity since getting into macro photography
He stood posed like this for a while. I assume to show off to potential mates and rivals
