Ever since I moved my parakeet into my room, he’s been on his cage, begging to get out almost every single second of the day. And when I do let him out, he doesn’t give me any room really. he just gets on my shoulder and gets in my face. And I mean nanometers from my face.

Every time I talk or make a sound he’ll get even closer or get directly by my mouth. he’s even tried feeding me I think. because seed randomly falls out of his mouth.

When I move him he will avoid my hands or just avoid them all together. And he will try to get back on my shoulder.

Other information of what he does is he tweets and makes happy bird sounds. nothing angry.

Over the course of the last few days I’ve been working hard learning the cryllic alphabet, I’ve learned almost half the letters and their sounds!

Yes I know — I have a long way to go but I’m here to show my progress!!

With my tag being a Request I was wondering if any Russian speakers would be willing to add me on discord to chat and discuss Russian! it would build my communication skills in reading and I would really appreciate it!!

Having some friends that speak this language too would be amazing.

I am an American and I have always been so fascinated with Russia! Especially the culture and language. That being said lately I’ve started learning Russian and it is a very difficult journey, most instructions are unclear of what to do or they are for more experienced speakers.

What should I do to learn this language?

And how much progress can I make in 80 days?

I have also heard that having Russians to talk to is very helpful, and I figured I’d put my discord username down if anyone would like to contact me and help out.
