Amy march

I don't understand why Amy March is the least liked sister. I think she is a very realistic character. For instance, take how she burned Jo's book—she was too proud to show she regretted it, yet she felt remorse deep down. Who among us hasn't experienced something like that? She isn't perfect; she has plenty of flaws, but that’s what makes her a good character. I found it really sweet how she used to mispronounce words. I also don't get people who think her crying after being hit on the hand with a ruler at school was unnecessary or an overreaction. I would have cried too; after all, you’re being humiliated in front of everyone. In short, I like Amy.

Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth

*Pride and Prejudice* is a work I really love. However, I have a few things to say about the movie. Elizabeth is exactly as I had imagined her; the actress brought to life the very person I had pictured in my mind. But to be honest, I had expected Mr. Darcy to be more handsome. There is chemistry between them in the film, but it would be a lie to say I wasn't disappointed. Mr. Bingley was spot-on, for instance. So was Jane. But for me, Darcy was a letdown.

About dark romance

Please stop romanticizing books like this. This is blatant harassment. A common trope in "dark romance" novels is that the female character eventually falls in love, and everything the man did is simply forgotten. It’s disgusting—plain and simple. For instance, what is going through the minds of people who actually enjoy the gun scene in this book? It honestly repulsed me. You see comments like "Zade is my husband," especially on BookTok. Please don't do that. But don't get me wrong—I'm not saying you shouldn't read or like it. I'm saying you shouldn't normalize it or romanticize the blatant boundary violations committed by the character.

EDIT: I am surprised to see some comments interpreting this topic as a call for censorship or book banning. My aim here is certainly not to have anything banned; everyone is completely free to read whatever they wish. What I am criticizing is the way content that is literarily weak and blatantly anti-feminist or toxic is presented as something entirely beyond question and perfectly normal, hiding behind the excuse that "it’s just fiction." Distinguishing between high-quality dark fiction and these shallow works—produced on BookTok merely for the sake of popularity—is a matter of literary criticism, not censorship.

Mean Girls Cady vs Regina

I think Cady gets too much blame and faces unnecessary backlash. People say she was after her friend's boyfriend, but she actually fell for Aaron before she even knew he was Regina's ex. Also, I don't get why everyone puts Regina on a pedestal, acting like she was always right. In real life, if they had friends like Regina George, they’d run away in tears—just saying. So, I’m Team Cady.

Romeo and juliet

Do you think Romeo and Juliet was a love story, or just the excitement of two young people? (I think it was love.)
