Pretty sure the babysitter left this behind.

Kid just crawled up to us holding it. Sticky yellow gunk has no scent, can’t figure out what it came off of. Jokes are welcome, but I’d really like to know wtf this is.

Solved! It’s from kewpie mayo!
Y’all are hilarious though and I’m trying to laugh quietly as the plastic craving gremlin is asleep(finally)

It’s not actually a pube it’s dog hair, they shed a lot 😭😂

How to get baby to drink water

She throws it, spits it out, gets mad, and refuses it. I don’t want her to only drink diluted juice because that can’t be good for her right? But that’s my only idea I have to get her to drink water at this point, and I desperately want to get better about taking the formula away. It’s already going to be 100° here next week, and will only get hotter so I’m concerned about her becoming dehydrated.

I’ve created a cheerio gremlin

Realized I was missing out on a great snack opportunity and started giving baby Cheerios. Great news, she loves them. Awesome, cheap and easy snack and they’re safe if the dogs get them so I can leave them for the dogs to clean up. Less clean up for me. However I made the mistake of just scattering them on the couch next to me for her to grab and snack. Thought I’d gotten a great idea. Now she comes up and gets mad when there’s no Cheerios on the couch. Dogs are thrilled by their regular floor Cheerios. Putting multiple family size boxes of Cheerios in my shopping cart for my next grocery order 😅😂

mmWave baby monitor

Looking for someone who can maybe explain what this is. New monitor came out recently and it says it uses mmwaves to monitor heart rate and oxygen. What are mmwaves exactly? How reliable are they really? From what I found on Google it sounds like the technology is fairly intrusive and creates a 3D image of the babies body? It’s the Momcozy bm08 monitor if that info helps. I’m not a rep of the company & don’t need a rep to tell me how fantastic it is, so I’m hoping someone here is familiar with the technology.

Her sleep schedule has been a wreck. She was a perfect 10pm to 11am sleeper for a while. It was a dream. All the sudden she goes to bed whenever she feels like it and wakes whenever she feels like it. I thought she was still sleeping like I’ve always assumed she was. Her full 10 to 12 hours. She likes sleep. I was wrong. I’m up late because insomnia takes victims and cares for no one. She’s been secretly waking up every night, for 30 minutes to an hour and playing quiet enough in her crib not to wake me through the monitor. She’s occasionally whined, but not enough that it would wake me. I have no idea how long she has had this secret, but it’s been at least a week from what I can see of what’s saved on the monitor. I’m watching her play on the monitor right now. My 10 month old has been keeping a secret middle of the night playtime and I had no idea.

Edit to add: she ALSO might be secretly weaning HERSELF off the paci accidentally because during this secret playtime she knocks them all on the ground. Which explains why she’s been refusing the paci the past few days, which I had assumed was teething.

Almost 11 months pp, most of the sensation around my scar has returned, however I rarely feel like I need to pee. If I wait too long and forget I do get the pain of a full bladder, but no feelings before that of needing to pee. Has anyone else experienced this? Is it something that will just take more time to recover?

Kid loves cords. iPhone cords. Lamp cords. Fan cords. She is a moth to them. Other than hiding the extra to the wall with those stick to the wall tubes, is there anything that exists, or even a stupid hack I haven’t thought of to keep her from playing with and chewing on these dang cords. I thought of a pool noddle, but that seems like it would only encourage her to play with them more and end up with her smacking herself with the lamp or fan. Trying to baby proof our house better now that she’s mobile. I thought I’d done all the basic things, but I overlooked that she would crave electricity in the form of cords.
