Zinsen -7€

Well, that one goes too far

So, 6 months ago my life was perfectly normal. 5 months ago, floaters started to appear - and my life got worse and worse. After many doc appointments and mental breakdowns, I thought i reached a state in which I can live normally again - but no. No matter how hard I try, my eyes keep on destroying my mental health.

Floaters seem to get worse and more. Especially those „grainy“ areas I mainly see when I squint - they almost take up my complete vision now when squinting, and are sometimes even visible without. Now, I also start to see glare, starbursts and that kind of shit. Fucking hell… I never had astigmatism or whatever but now it sure looks as if I have astigmatism.. I believe it’s my vitreous shit degenerating and causing light to break and make it appear as if I had astigmatism. My eyes try to take away my daytime, and now even the night is losing its „safety“ so to say.

Don’t know if anybody of you has this or can relate - I don’t know for how long I can go on like this - I’m only in my mid 20s, still studying and feeling like an 80 year old.

Repeater sinnvoll?

Guten Abend!

Still active transformation and development of new floaters 4 months after onset

I just don’t understand this, maybe somebody of you does. I am in my mid 20s and developed floaters around 4,5 months ago, never had issues before (also not myopic or anything).

My first floater was/is a big and curved half-circle. I used to be able to see it consisting of bubbles that are connected like in a chain. Now, I can’t see that anymore and it looks very weird. Cant really describe it…. It’s getting a bit more washy washy, but with a weird area surrounding it (which wasn’t there before). Other areas developed those weird fluid like areas as well…

Does anybody of you know what’s going on here? Is it a process of liquidation that’s damaging my eyes? Or wtf?

Getting worse and worse

My floaters started 4 months ago, first only one eye, 2 weeks later second eye… and they keep getting worse and more. More visibility (almost 24/7 now) and bigger and more. When I squint my eyes, they’re filled with random areas of fluid it seems like. I’m just in my mid 20s. When did your floaters stop getting worse? If ever?

Aquarium or wavy like areas

Hey, wanted to ask you about this. Do you have areas in your eyes where you see kind of weird areas? Not really a clearly defined floater, but an area with wavy like physics and looks? Sometimes aquarium like? I can see it even without squinting, but when squinting I see many of them.

Are these maybe areas where the syneresis is going on quite quickly? I’m very afraid of that.

Do your floaters blur the things behind them?

Well so I wanted to ask you about your floaters. Do some of them blur what’s behind them? E.g. I’ve got some floaters that, once they fall through my central vision (or even just in any part of my vision), blur the stuff behind them. Sometimes, letters are then hard to read, or things just have a different color while the floater covers parts of it.

Don’t know if that’s normal for a floater or not, but it definitely sucks

Is this VSS?

Sorry for the most casual post that you often see here. I’m just wondering whether my symptoms classify as VSS or whether is solely eye related bullshit.

I’m 24m, normal vision (no myopia etc). Around 4 months ago I noticed one huge floater in my left eye, soon to be followed by dark specks and dots in my right eye. Since then they kept increasing, to the point where I know basically always see them, even in dim light. On top of that i got lots of translucent floaters which even blur the letters when they fall in the center of my vision. Life sucks with this condition. And since im just 24, there are basically no options for me to try currently.

On top of that i also notice this BFEP phenomenon, so basically I often see white flickering or flying things, especially when I look at something bright.

Additionally, i have afterimages. They don’t stay there for 2 minutes or so though, but when i read a text on a white background for example, and I move my eyes, the line I just read is still visible (or it’s „shadows“, if you get what I mean). This is annoying as well, but doesn’t last too long currently.

Additionally, my eyes sometimes seem to hurt for no reason. They also often times feel dry so I use drops.

I visited 3 different ophthalmologists due to the floaters. No retinal damage was found, one said I have a beginning PVD, the other ones didn’t talk about that.

I don’t really have that „static“ vision that is typical for VSS. That’s why I’m wondering:

Does this sound like a PVD-only or whatever issue, where nobody knows why I’m having this this early in life? Or can it be a combined issue of floaters and Visual Snow?

This can’t be real

Like literally, there must be an underlying condition. I really do not believe that this shit happens out of nowhere to some people.
Also, there are people that really just have those floaters where docs say „you’ll get used to it“. Those people do not understand the severity of real, permanent, black floaters. Like dude I’ve always seen some kind of bubbles ye… but NO, that never bothered me a bit. What bothers me are those huge black strings and bigger dots, clouds or whatever which break light and make your vision horrible… and that are basically always there.

Also, does anybody of you have like their eyes filled with shit once you squint? When I squint my eyes, I see my life pass by me basically . Everything is filled with weird wave like formations, clouds, lacunes etc… And on top of that dots/bubbles everywhere.

I am in my mid 20s. How the fuck can this be „normal“? Out of 3 docs, only one told me that I have a beginning PVD. Why only one? It doesn’t make sense.

Floaters in their 20s

Man why the hell do people below the age of 60 develop floaters… it’s just bullshit. Yea, I don’t wish that to anybody, not even above 60… but at least let the people educate themselves normally and make them be able to live a normal life, feeding the family etc…. And when one gets old, it feels horrible to develop floaters, but somehow people know that sooner or later the body starts to show its age. But why does it happen in people as young as 10? Or 20? Or 30? Yes that’s also an age, but it shouldn’t be the age where the body starts to disintegrate.

And yes I know there can be far worse. But for people that had a normal vision until the first floaters came, it really feels horrible.

Waschmaschine im Bereich bis 350€

Hi!

Lg

Was sollte man vom DBX0YG halten?

Hey, the title already says it. My first floaters started in my left eye around 3 months ago. Went to the eye doctor, he said „maybe a PVD“ and that’s it. Didn’t even dilatate my pupils. After my right eye also got affected by floaters, I went into an eye clinic. They couldn’t tell me why I have floaters, but they were seen on the OCT (at least one).

Well fast forward to today. As the floaters progressively got worse over the first 3 months, I decided to go to a different eye doctor for another opinion. What happened?

Turns out that this time, in my OCT, a beginning PVD in both eyes was diagnosed. He couldn’t tell me why I have that, especially as nobody in my family experienced something like it. Now he told me to take cortisol drops for a week and see if it gets better. He couldn’t find an infection or something like it(uveitis etc), but said I should still try the drops and see if they help.
