What's it like living in El Dorado hills?

Every now and then when we want to escape the city's chaos me and my wife started going on a walk on powers drive until the end where it overlooks Folsom lake. It's pretty nice watching over the sunset.

Some things stand out: There are no dedicated sidewalks, no garage sales, many big houses feel empty but well organized, so do the parks which are mostly empty too. Barely anyone actually walks and enjoys the overlooking hill side views.

But, for the people who are living does it feel like a community? It certainly has a unique quirk when compared to the rest of Sacramento!

PS: I could ask AI but I want to hear from real people for a change!

Aug 2025 PD - Risk of Audit?

Hello Community,

I’m trying to get a better sense of the situation

My PD: Aug 2025.

Based on the latest OFLC PERM processing times as of 5/31/2026, the queues are showing:

Analyst Review: April 2025

Audit Review: November 2025

Reconsideration Request to the CO: January 2026

The average number of days to process PERM applications also shows:

Analyst Review: 501 calendar days

Audit Review: 343 calendar days

This is where I’m a little confused. Since Analyst Review is currently on April 2025, an August 2025 PD still seems a few months away from regular review. But Audit Review showing November 2025 makes me wonder how the audit queue timing should be interpreted.

Does the “Audit Review: November 2025” date mean that the PD cases before this date are done with this risk of potential audit?

I didn't receive any audit but with increased scrutiny I'm trying to understand the probability of audit so far down the road.

Thank you!

Everyother car's vehicle registration expired

What's the trick here? Usually people get around $70 dollar fine within registration expiring if not renewed. Isn't it?

Used Tesla Buying Tips (I just like the car...)

Could some EV/Tesla owners share tips on buying a used Tesla? I really like the car overall and the low maintenance aspect, but I’ve noticed prices on used Model 3s and Model Ys fluctuate a lot.

I briefly checked Facebook Marketplace, though I’m not sure if that’s the best route. I also looked at Tesla’s official used inventory, but the prices there seem noticeably higher.

Anything specific I should watch out for?
Battery degradation, suspension issues, accident history, warranty differences, hidden costs, best places to buy, etc. Especially around Sacramento/California.
