We're currently reviving a girls-only Discord community and are looking for someone who enjoys organizing activities and helping build an active, welcoming environment.

The server isn't huge right now (350 members) and because we're rebuilding after a quiet period, participation may be limited at first. We're actively working on growing the community, though, and expect the activities to get more and more regular members.

A few things we already do/did:

​

🎨 Monthly drawing contests (our most popular event by far)

​

✏️ Draw&Chat evenings (currently twice per month)

​

🎮 We've experimented with gaming events before, although they weren't very successful

​

One important thing to know: aside from the monthly drawing contest, nothing is set in stone. You're welcome to modify, change, remove any events if you think there are better ideas!! Of course, major changes should be discussed with the admin team, but we're very open-minded and I don't think we will refuse any ideas tbh.

Honestly, one of our biggest challenges is figuring out event ideas, schedules, and time zone differences while also handling all the other work involved in rebuilding the server. We'd love someone who enjoys that side of community management and wants to help shape the server.

​

This is a volunteer position, so we're not looking for someone to constantly organize activities or treat this like a job. We don't need events every week, and we definitely don't want anyone *feeling pressured*!! Our goal is simply to have enough activities from time to time to keep the community engaged and give members something fun to look forward to.

​

Since the server is currently being revived, participation may be slow at first, and that's completely okay. We're hoping to grow steadily and build an active community over time rather than forcing activity.

Requirements:

🌷 Must complete the server verification process before receiving access

🌷 Verification is simple: either a selfie or a quick voice call

🌷 Friendly, reliable, and interested in community building

I'm 23yo, married, living between 2 countries, I've always been the odd one out, always the person you go to when all your friends aren't available.

I'm a great listener but a very poor talker, even when I'm over-sharing when I feel comfortable with you: I'll just talk a lot about maybe stuff I shouldnt talk about and nothing would makes sense. My communication is very poor.

I'm a huge cinema fan (I'm starting to go into Chinese cinema, and love Persian one too. I love to watch unusual movies), I also draw a lot, I love valorant, I can't really say I'm a gamer since it is the only game I'm obsessed with... But I do play other games... And I love just internet.

Sometimes I have hyperfixations;

-I got one over Lawrence of Arabia, i was watching a tons of documentaries about it for days

-then I got one over Chris Chan, again, watched the full documentary on YouTube and read the wiki

-but my biggest hyperfixations are Valorant and 2 French YouTubers, I watch them everyday at least for 4h before I sleep. It is my ritual every night since almost 6 years.

I know I'm searching for someone a little bit like me:

-someone not fitting into the norms

-someone with almost the same hobbies as me (huge cinema fan, art, internet and/or little gaming)

I'm not very picky I would say? I just think making kinda clear criteria will make it easier for both of us finding friends

So I thought maybe there’s a writer out there in the opposite situation: someone with stories and creativity, but who doesn’t have an artist to visualize their work!

I’d love to collaborate for free so we can both benefit and create our portfolio!

**Genre/s:** Children's Books/Graphic Novel (any age for the graphic novel); I'm pretty open to any genre!

**Goals/expectations/commitment:** The goal of this partnership would be to benefits of eachothers' works! I expect it to be free, since I'm willing to offer my arts for free since I'm only a beginner and it is mainly to build my portfolio! And I'm pretty committed! I can advance on the drawings almost every other days and I'll send a preview after each drawing sessions, cause I still would like you to be satisfied with the result!

The problem is that I’m an illustrator, not really a writer! I genuinely don’t know how to create stories, scripts, etc. for portfolio projects... So I feel kinda stuck because everyone around me says to include storytelling illustrations in my portfolio, but I have no idea what to make; and when I genuinely try, it is just bad and I can feel it in my drawings...
