I watched The Thing last night

I love the movie but to me it isn't a horror movie just a sci-fi movie. The soundtrack is really good and perfect to sleep to. Kurt Russell is a killer actor.

I might be asking for trouble if I hook anything bigger than a bluegill

Langley Streamlite 310KC on a superultralight 4'6 rod. Not really mad for casting but since the rod is fiberglass I don't think it matters too much.

Abu Ambassadeur 5500c from 74

It has a 5500c frame and spool with the clicker from a 6500c. Trying to figure out how to fix the hole in the sideplate.

Question

Would a Ark Avid BFS be great for bluegill and shellcracker? I am not really a bass fisherman but I prefer casting gear for accuracy. I don't use lures instead I use red worms.

This is my jig rod

Abu Garcia Vendetta 7'6 Heavy with a Abu Ambassadeur 5000 4 screw. I wanted a heavy rod to use for jigs as the tip would be more sensitive. Going to use it for carp and catfish also.

My new jig rod

Abu Garcia Vendetta 7'6 Heavy. Going to being using it for bass jigs, carp and catfish. Probably could have went with a rod not as heavy for jigs but I wanted something more versatile. It cast a 3/8th jig with a trailer pretty good. Only thing I don't like is the handle is long but that's a personal preference. Decided to throw my old Ambassadeur 5000 on it.

Looking for advice on catching Shellcracker

I love catching shellcracker but November is the only month I can catch more then one in a trip but then it's 2 and that's it. Want to catch them more often in the winter, spring, summer and early fall.
