Individual Support (Ageing & Disability

How did you find the course? Im going through with it because I need a job. Im like 2 months in. The content is boring sometimes. How did you edit your resume to get a job in Aged care organisations. I don’t have a car or drivers license, and no first aid course done. Tips, help, would be appreciated. It’s Cert III, one of my friends she would do nursing afterwards. Thoughts?

My updated medications since hospital

Venlafaxine 300mg
Lamotrigine 75mg
Lamotrigine 25mg at night
Acamprosate 666mg 3x a day
Quetiapine 150mg 1 night
Melatonin 6mg 1 night
Brexipiprazole 1mg

If you are on these or similar, please tell me your experience on them! I have just got out of hospital PECC Aus psychiatric emergency care for hearing voices. I still don’t feel safe at my flat, but I’m just dealing with it. I felt safe in the PECC hospital environment, like I was protected but at home I struggle with hyper vigilance in my apartment so so bad. My anxiety levels are through the roof and I feel like I’m being monitored or a prey to my neighbour, like vulnerable. Please someone help thank you.

Do you have weird / unusual interests or fixate on things? Do you struggle with normal social interactions in a public place such as gym because you can’t stand people / can’t trust anyone? Does it overwhelm you?

AS above.

How to stop getting tired at gym

Newbie I was in hospital now just got back to the gym and I gained weight in hospital but my mental health is better now and I’m trying to balance gym with keeping good mental health. But I get so tired at the gym after I do stairclimber? been pretty stagnant, female 22, used to do cross country runs and gymnastics when I was a kid. Goals is to start running, splits, abs, lose weight. Some days my energy levels is much higher, any reasons for this? Hormones, period, sleep, water, nutrition factors? thank you

at times bpd is fun, but at other times not

Bpd is talked about. It is known. I don’t share my diagnosis for this reason. Not known by every single person on this planet right now, but known. And unless you tell people, it became easier for me to pretend I didn’t have mental illness, any BPD. For example, the situation with my last ex, the situations with my mother, in these situations, I am being told I am in my BPD mood/symptoms, BPD impulsive, unreasonable, and my mum’s favourite which is ‘not in my wise mind’. It irritates me. How could it not. I am ashamed of having BPD, it’s just a diagnosis. I don’t tel people about it, then the ones who know I have it will point out that i am in this ‘condition’s symptoms/mood’ like this is all I am as a human being. at its worst, it feels like anything I can say to defend myself will be discredited, BECAUSE i have BPD.

wondering if i should go to the hospital?

i live in Australia. I haven’t been managing self care (im unemployed, but starting TAFE study, a new course on the 20th of july). I’ve been telling myself already to tough it out because with mental health shit / schizo they don’t always even know what you have or how to help. i have a psychiatrist. but i’m failing to do basic self care like showering and brushing teeth in fear or anxiety of these voices. i’ve told my mum there were bad vibes or energy in my apartment, im scared of my bedroom. i have no idea what to do. I feel like i am being surveillanced and filmed monitored wherever whatever i
do. Im stressed and worried about this. I’ve been back and forth with suicidal ideation because living with the voices was tough for a while there. i keep telling myself i will survive this but the other part of me wants to rest or go to hospital like it wants help or reassurance or something that everything is ok?

i don’t trust people and it’s killing ne

sometimes i do believe honestly that others are out to get me and it has something to do with the voices. i believe my neighbour hacked into my phone and can read what i’m doing on my phone. i believe he’s monitoring me. i strongly want help, but the times i went to hospital i was told to wait hours, hours, hours before the mental health team arrived (Australia). i believe somehow that life (as an adult) is only abut survival and nothing else. that i keep surviving each day, live with intense anxiety of my neighbour coming down and hurting me. what to do

what do you think people most often don’t understand about it?

about hearing voices, having mental illness. what are the assumptions people tend to make when they don’t have it themselves? about living with schizophrenia and dealing with it and how it affects life? do people judge you?

Drowsiness and hunger

This makes me ravenous I eat everything in my kitchen. On a big dose. Help for stopping the eating , it’s binge eating pretty much. Up until I take my seroquel my appetite is normal and controllable.
