What the heck??

What the heck??

Etsy order was scheduled to arrive Friday (8/14). It didn't arrive locally until Friday evening. No big deal, I thought, it will come Saturday, or Monday at the latest. Now, the tracking info info indicates it has arrived in Texas. What the heck is going on?

This isn't the first time USPS tracking has appeared quite wonky, but it seems to be happening on the regular now.

I found my people!

Oh my goodness. I had no idea I wasn't soooo alone! My entire house (the humble abode) truly needs unfucked. Like everywhere. It's been mental block for a long time.

I left my marriage 2-1/2 years ago ( not for this sub ), got the humble abode for me and the critters, and I've just let it get out of control. Then I broke my ankle in May, had surgery 10 days later, and it's only gotten worse due to immobility. Now that I'm able to move about a little more, with a walker, I know it's time. But it's also daunting. I get very sore and tired from being out of shape from being zero weight bearing for two months.

I am grateful to have stumbled upon this sub at this exact point in time, and I'm hopeful now, realizing I'm not the only one facing these issues. It's a lonely state to be in, so hopefully the stories, before/after pics, and support I read here will help me along to the place I want to be.

Thanks for reading, and wish me luck!

Guidance needed!

Hello! Relative newbie here — started goofing around a few months ago, and now I have four Harbor Freight tumblers running!

I have this piece of Mexican crazy lace agate that I've been keeping a close eye on. It has a "dipped" brown tip — think chocolate-dipped strawberry — that I always found interesting, but that brown coating is now chipping away and exposing something shiny underneath!

It's been through 3-4 weeks of Stage 1 (coarse grit), and I gave it a soap bath today. Once it dried, I noticed a couple of very small druzy pockets, plus more exposed detail in that "dipped" section.

I don't want to risk losing any of this by tumbling further or handling it wrong.

Looking for advice on how to proceed — should I keep tumbling, pull it and hand-finish, or something else? Video coming tomorrow in daylight, but wanted to ask ahead of time. Because I'm over the moon excited right now!

Thank you in advance!

Amazing !!!

This is the first time I have seen two Baltimore Orioles at this feeder simultaneously! I've been waiting patiently, and this morning, I got the money shot! 🧡🧡🧡

Note: Please keep it on mute, unless you want to hear my rock tumblers grinding away!

Relative Newbie

Just started this hobby within the past several months. I already have four HF double barrel machines (four!?!?!), with five barrels currently running stage one. The remaining three barrels were planned for stages 2-4 to avoid cross-contamination. But, of course, I bought a TV-10 as well, because.... well, I'm sure you know. 🤣

I am currently loaded up with rough... mostly jaspers and agates, so I COULD run another barrel (or more!) of stage one, but I also don't want to hastily mess with my original plan.

Do any of the more seasoned hobbyists here have any suggestions or advice on how to make the most of my current barrel/tumbler capacities?

Also, just for fun... these just went from patiently waiting for their turn, to officially tumbling!
