Who will care about your tens of thousands of pictures when you die?

We take more photos than ever before. Do any of us actually think our loved ones will go through them once we're gone? Think about your elderly relatives who have died and how much you look at those photos. You don't know people in them, the context of them, or the significance of what's happening. It's it worth it to store all of them?

Turning into my mother (kill me now)?

My mom was a decent enough parent when I was young (11 and younger). She made us dinners, cleaned the house, and was around when she wasn't working. As time went on, she became very, very selfish, cheated on my saint of a father, and they divorced (30-ish years ago). My siblings and I continue to have incredibly fraught relationships with her. I watched a video of myself with my child (8) and literally thought my voice was my mom. Then, I realized I've been taking more time to myself lately (reading, playing video games, gardening) because my child is getting more independent. I worry that I'm turning into my mom- a person I don't really like, admire, or ever long to be. I understand that I have her DNA. Does anyone else feel doomed to turn into their parents in some capacity no matter how much you try not to?

Proposal?

In season 8, episode 24, Sheldon begins to talk to Amy on their video call about relationships right before she breaks up with him. Do you think he we going to propose on that call? If not, where do you think he was going with the start of the conversation (and knowing he had a ring)?

Has anyone watched Contagion since COVID?

This movie is still only getting a 6.8 out of 10 on IMDB. I watched this movie when it came out. I showed it to my husband in 2020 (probably not the best time to watch). I've just re-watched again. I don't understand how this movie has such a low rating. Firstly, it was nearly prophetic 9 years prior to the pandemic. Secondly, it watches almost as a docu-series of COVID. Thoughts on its bad rating?

How do I deal with these neighbors?

My family and I built our house nearly 10 years ago on our cul-de-sac. We were the first people to build here and have made positive relationships with the other families here. Recently, a new family has moved in who parks their extra vehicles along our property line for weeks on end. I've called the police for abandoned vehicles and they said it's not warranted as a violation. I tried to ask the owner of the property to move their cars and was told to f- off. The problem is my child and others can't ride their bikes or play basketball in front of our properties because of these vehicles. Am I just SOL? Do O have any recourse?

What's next?

(I'm sorry to say, not a West Wing post.) I have taught high school for nearly 2 decades. I've seen trends come and go, but the 90s are back in full rage. High waisted jeans, tight "belly" tops, lots of marijuana usage, and now hacky sacks (which, funnily enough, no one sells locally anymore since malls died and local vendors struggle). So my question to you all is, what's the best trend that'll come back?
