I wanted to take some progress photos before I went ahead with rooting his hair

He was the first reborn I painted, and I decided to revisit him and see how much I’ve improved. First photos are now and last are from March. I’ll be painting his limbs as I root his hair, so I took these photos with his cuddle body

Can anyone identify this vintage doll crib? Or at the very least what the piece at the headboard is?

Would my 1yr old be okay for a day without breast milk for a day?

My baby has never been away from me for longer than 2 hours, and that’s only ever happened twice. She comfort nurses all day long, and she nurses to sleep. She eats food, but she mainly prefers the boob. My MIL would like to keep her overnight which at first I agreed to, but now I’m wondering if my girl will be okay? Google says that a 1 year old can have primarily food for nutrition. I don’t really have any milk stashed because I never needed to pump.

My 3rd finished baby. I made a crude preemie outfit, but she’ll have better clothes as I get more practice at sewing

“EBT temporarily unavailable online”

Yesterday I tried placing a Walmart grocery order, but for some reason the Walmart app kept telling me my card information is incorrect. I’ve used this service twice a month for months with no problem, so that was weird. Eventually it told me my card was locked after too many failed attempts. I changed my pin and tried again today, I uninstalled the app, I tried clearing my storage, and it again is locked for too many attempts. I don’t have a vehicle so this is my only way to get groceries.

If I call the local offices, can I get my card unlocked? I am located in OH

Am I doing the wrong thing by being blunt about death?

I have an almost 4 yr old son, and I’ve always been honest with him about death. We’ve never had a death in the family thank god, but some of our extended family has had pets die. When it happens and my son asks about it, I say “fluffy died honey. We’re burying him.” I’ve explained that dying is when someone gets sick or hurt, and they don’t wake up. I know that with some kids it could scare them into thinking that if they get hurt that means they’ll die, but that hasn’t been a problem with my son.

Death doesn’t scare him, it’s just something that happens. We’ve seen dead birds and he knows they’re dead. I guess the problem comes from his imagination. Sometimes when he’s playing he pretends something dies. A dinosaur, an action figure, etc. It’s nothing over the top, they just “die” and that’s it, and he moves on to the next part of the game. However he spent the night at his grandmas the other night, and when they dropped him off she said “make sure you guys are watching what you watch on tv. We were playing and he wanted us to pretend that people were dying and that we were dead.” She knows that I don’t skirt around death by saying things like “they went to a better place” so it’s not like this should be a surprise, but it’s also not something that we talk about every day.

We also can’t really avoid death in media. Almost all kids movies have someone dying, and of course he asks what happened to them. In Frozen Anna and Elsa’s parents die, in Sea Beasts the big green sea beast dies, in Moana her grandmother dies. It’s literally unavoidable. But still, am I doing the wrong thing by saying they died instead of “they went to heaven”?

My various attempts at making a cuddle body and my final attempt

Bonus: it also looks like a cooked chicken(TURKEY!) lmao.

I’ve been trying to make a cuddle body because I really like cuddle babies and would prefer to make my own bodies vs buying premade. I bought a pattern on Etsy, but I wasn’t 100% satisfied with how the pattern looked so I kept making tweaks until I was happy. I’m currently in the process of stripping and repainting this Teddy head.

I’ve had these for the past 6-7 years and they’re still going strong

I bought them back around 2019-2020. I’ve dropped them, put them through the washer twice, and lost one of the buds but found it a couple weeks later. They are the best earbuds I’ve owned. They aren’t amazing in sound quality, but they have a long battery life and they’ve been put through so much crap without breaking. And that’s all I need. I’m going to be sad when the day comes where they no longer work
