For those who have isolated themselves

People who spend long periods of time at home and slowly lose the desire to go outside often think they're just resting. But psychologically, many of them are experiencing something called mental rumination. It's a state where the brain starts slowing down while the number of thoughts inside keeps increasing and the motivation to do anything slowly disappears. The mind gets stuck in the past, worries about the future and burns itself out. This isn't laziness, it's a nervous system stuck in survival mode. And the longer it lasts, the more distant normal life begins to feel. And the difficult part is that you usually can't escape it through one massive burst of motivation. And sometimes, recovery starts with just one small step.

the biggest changes i have seen in me after years of isolation

1...the ability to sit like i can hardly sit for more than10 minutes...i immediately ly down...

2....completely lost the ability to understand complex things..if the topic requires deep level of thinking...i feel dizziness..

3....not having opinions....most of the time i genuinely dont have anything to say.....

4....i can sleep in the day and then fall asleep easily at night...sleep is brain way of protecting my sanity i guess

5...no apetite...i can go on through the day with just meal......

6...extreme letharginess...i can stay in position for hours without moving...sometimes my body freezes in that state and i want to move bt i cant
