Sales & Marketing Jobs

Hi! Recently lost my job in marketing and while I do still enjoy marketing, I do think transitioning into a sales role or business development role will be my best bet. I’m open on industries but I have experience in healthcare and restaurants/bars as well. I would appreciate any insights, advice, or leads. I have less than 1 year of FT work but 3 internships and freelance work as well.
Thank you!

(New to this sub so apologies for any rules I missed)

Entry level sales interview

Hi! I have an interview on Monday and I’m wondering if it’s okay to wear a light gray suit? I wore black to the networking event that got me the interview. I could also wear a dress (maybe black I also have green). I usually do black but I have a full light gray suit so I’m considering that. TYIA!

Hairstyles for work

Sorry if this isn’t allowed and if this seems like a silly question but

How do you guys wear your hair to work/networking events? I usually do a bun but I’m always curious thoughts on this. I have really curly hair too so it’s not always easy to just leave down or clip it back.

Do you think hairstyle actually makes a difference with work outfits and formality?

Places that make you happy on LI

Life has been continuously punching me while I’m down the last month. It’s been horrific.
Anywhere on LI you suggest for morning or night walks? Or just places that make you happy. I’m in Nassau.
I hope everyone is genuinely having a better summer than me. Thanks in advance.

Hanging up Diploma Help

I recently got my diploma framed (finally!). I graduated in 2024. I now work at an office but WFH occasionally. I have a desk area I work at. I was about to hang my diploma but I’m not questioning where I want to hang it for a couple reasons.
Option 1: Facing me so I see it while I work (I currently have 2 scholarship awards framed there)
Option 2: Behind me where they’re seen when I’m on call.
Options 3: something else I haven’t thought of
I’m really junior in my role so I don’t do a ton of calls, but I am very proud of my degree. But I already get a bit of flack for being so young in my office so I don’t want to risk getting anymore with it being tacky/weird/cringe to have my diploma visible on calls.
I attached a image of the wall in front of me looks like. The wall behind me is a little bit smaller a slightly oddly shaped.

TYIA!
