I’ve always been a huge Steven Gerrard fan irl, so when I finally packed this Epic version from the guaranteed Epic chance deal, I was genuinely happy😄

I already had the Efootball 2023 Gerrard card on one of my alt accounts with around 500 matches played, so getting this version on my main account felt really satisfying.

Now statistically, if you look at the card, it’s not one of those midfielders where every stat is glowing dark green above 90. But honestly, that kind of suits Gerrard perfectly.

This card feels exactly like how Gerrard used to play in real life — a proper all-round box-to-box midfielder🔥

He’ll track back and defend like his life depends on it, especially for passes outside the box from AMFs, but at the same time he’ll also push forward, carry the ball, make strong passes, and position himself just outside the box waiting for opportunities to unleash long-range shots.

After around 100 matches (mostly Divisions and PvP events), I’ve been really impressed with him💪🏽

He’s not the kind of card where you instantly feel your whole account becoming broken or elevated like a Gullit or some of the top-tier Show Time cards. But if you already have a stable midfield setup, this card becomes incredibly effective.

In my setup, I usually have players like Zakaria and Rijkaard handling most of the defensive work, which allows Gerrard to hover around the middle areas during transitions and counter-attacks. That’s where he shines for me.

A lot of his goals have come from exactly what you’d expect — loose clearances, second balls, or moments where he’s sitting outside the box and just smashes a long-range effort.

His passing is also really solid. Maybe not the absolute crispiest passer in the game, but his through balls and long-range passing feel very reliable.

Overall, really happy with this card. Yeah, there’s definitely nostalgia involved in this review, but at the same time, he’s genuinely been impactful for me in-game too.

This Denis Zakaria card has honestly been a bit of a revelation for me.

I wasn’t even going for him initially — I was mainly trying to pack Pogba — but ended up getting Zakaria first, and after using him for around 50+ matches (mostly Divisions and online events), I’ve got to say… this guy is seriously good.

I had heard a few positive things about him before in this Sub, but i didn’t expect this level of impact.

He plays like a top tier destroyer DMF. I usually give him a defensive instruction, and he just sits there doing his job perfectly — breaking up attacks, winning the ball cleanly, and covering space, winning aerial duels easily.

What I really like is how active he feels off the ball. He’s always around the right areas, constantly pressing, intercepting, and making it difficult for opponents to build play. Pair him with a more attacking or box-to-box midfielder, and the balance feels really solid.

Physically, he’s strong, very reliable in duels, and even in the air he holds his own. During counters, he’s often already in position to stop the attack early, which helps a lot, especially since he's a good cross interceptor from Fullbacks.

For me, he’s easily one of the best defensive midfield options I’ve used recently outside of the obvious top-tier Epic/Showtime cards. He might not have Famous name, but in-game he performs at a really high level.

in conclusion I'm really impressed with this one — didn’t expect much going in, but he’s turned out to be a key part of my squad and will definitely remain so even if he's form is C.
