Is the brake sound effect used in the 1964 film “The Train” ok to use legally? If not, is lowering the pitch of the sound effect ok to avoid copyright issues?

I’ve heard it in so so so so many Thomas fan videos and I never see a disclaimer saying “SFX owned by MGM studios”

Behold, my mint condition ERTL Edwards. Technically, I have 2 packaged sticker face ones. I kept one in the packaging and I opened the other one. The plastic face Edward’s packaging was in very very poor shape so I had to free him.
