Zugegeben: Als ich den Begriff heute Morgen bei Karl Mannheim gelesen habe, dachte ich erst, dass er damit Kleinbürger meine, und ich denke, dass das noch immer zutreffen könne. Hier anbei nochmal die Definition als Text außerhalb des Bildes:

Spannend, was es nicht alles so gibt. Leider weiß ich nicht, wie der originale englische Titel der Rede war, worin er (Mannheim) den Begriff verwendete, und in meiner Ausgabe wurde kein Vermerk für die originale Publikation hinterlassen. Sorry!

Durch Zufall entdeckt, nachdem es dieses Jahr im März herausgegeben wurde. Bin mal gespannt, wie es wird, ich werde es voraussichtlich ab übernächster Woche zu lesen beginnen, sobald ich ein anderes Buch beendet habe.

Laut dem Verlag haben sie noch ein paar Exemplare über, danach muss man auf die zweite Auflage abwarten.

Wer es aber bestellen möchte, sollte nicht auf den lateinamerikanischen Regenwald im Netz ausweichen, auch deswegen, weil dort der Versand bis zu drei Monate innerhalb Deutschlands dauern kann. Irgendwann wurde ich zu ungeduldig und habe es dort storniert, um es beim Verlag selbst zu bestellen. So dauerte es knapp fünf Tage.

While the surface might look calm, quarries have steep drop-offs, hidden rock ledges, and freezing cold deep water that can instantly shock your body, causing immediate muscle failure and panic.

When a swimmer starts to drown, they enter an automatic panic mode where they physically can't think clearly or grab onto an extended paddle or float. If a bystander rushes out to help but isn't trained in water rescue, the attempt can fall apart in seconds because they don't know how to safely secure a flailing victim. That is exactly why swimmers can never rely on casual onlookers for survival.

To stay safe, you should always wear a life jacket in open water, or better yet, completely avoid these unmonitored pits and only swim at designated spots with trained lifeguards who have the skills and equipment to handle a real emergency.

On the sixth of August of this year, a dash cam footage recorded the fatal car crash Abaan Ahmed, son to mobster-turned politician Atiq Ahmed, and a friend only identified as Sonu. The son was speeding at 120 km/h (≈ 75 mp/h) in his Hyundai Creta in Jhansi, an historic city in the state of Uttar Pradesh. Preliminary reports hint towards Ahmed having lost control of his car, although nothing specific is known yet.

Abaan and Sonu were declared dead on the site of the accident, while three other passengers of the vehicle identified as Umar Ahmed, Mohammad Zaid and Aslam were injured and transported to a nearby hospital. The Times of India, from which all of these information were retrieved, wrote about the cause of death of Abaan and Sonu:

>The post-mortem examination reportedly found extensive internal trauma. Abaan had suffered ruptures to the liver, lungs and spleen, along with multiple fractured ribs.
Doctors attributed his death to massive internal bleeding caused by the high-impact collision. Sonu, who was seated behind Abaan, reportedly suffered a fatal head injury and skull fracture.
