I'm a Protestant Christian wanting to convert to Judaism

How long does it usually take to convert to Judaism? And are there much Christians converting to Judaism?

I am very upset with this religion, started studying the Torah about a year ago, which led to my idea of converting to Judaism(It's a long long story why I'm getting upset with Chritianity...)

I graduated battling through various mental health struggles

I graduated, I finally graduated!!! It's been almost a month since I'm back to my home country. Though it's been quite a tough journey, I'm grateful to have my two years here at Monash, with a bunch of amazing cohorts and lecturers.

The last semester was extremely tough for my, as my mental health struggles were getting much worse. I had approx. 7 psych ward admissions from the beginning of the semester till the end of the semester. I was even on a treatment order in March, and been on numerous assessment orders.

But I did it.

If you're also finding it tough, I'm writing to let you know that you're not alone! Feel free to DM me:) Always open to have a chat and here to support!

How’s your experience in private psych facilities?(if you ha d attempts before)

I’m in an emotional crisis r, can’t keep myself safe at home experiencing severe anxiety and depression. currently there are no public beds available as it’s full of involuntary patients. So I have asked my GP for a private facility referral for these three: Albert Road Clinic; The Victoria Clinic and the Melbourne Clinic.

what are the chances of private facilities taking patients who had attempts previously and still have these thoughts?

I really want to take a break from my current life it’s just so stressful

thanks a million for your suggestions

Does therapy really work?

Been in therapy with my psychologist for over six months now, I can see a bit of improvement of my baseline but there are still lots of ups and downs where my emotions completely went out of control.

I've been struggling over the weekend since I was just discharged from psych ward, the period of transition from hospital to home is tough for me. So all those negative thoughts popped up in my mind again, and I tried calling multiple helplines. Either took 35+ minutes to answer or no answer.

After almost 28 calls, I got through Lifeline. Geez, man, the guy picking up my call was like with zero empathy: you just got discharged? Then call the hospital for support. I told him that I try to commit bcuz I find it so hard to battle these unhelpful thoughts. All I got was 'call the hospital'

I know Lifeline are staffed by volunteers but at very least you shouldn't talk this way right? It's only gonna traumatize ppl

Long story short, I've trialed several different meds and they brought nothing but side effects and my psychiatrist has suggested me to stop the meds and try working with a psychologist.

Just wondering if anyone has similar experience and manage to get through it ?

Appreciate xx:)

So, what's the point of you studying abroad without speaking any English???????

Just becuz you've got group members from the same fuckin country doesn't mean you can let your poor group members do your fuckin work.

Not responding in group chat. Don't even know how to use GenAI. Contributing nothing to group work. Morally 'kidnap' other group members saying bs like "blah blah blah(nationality) help blah blah blah(nationality)"

Can't even order a coffee in English.

So how tf did this guy pass IELTS? Did he pay someone to do this test?

I reiterate again, I'm not a racist and English is also not my first language. But please, be considerate and respectful. Don't always come to us chat in our language when there's someone else who doesn't speak this language on our table, please. Please, show some respect.

I'm so pissed of by this type of bs group member damnnnnnnnnnnnn

Remember to avoid media electives or there will be lots of lots of group members like this(not saying all media major folks are bad but many have reported horrible experiences with these media major folks)
