Isn't there a way to access any channel from the front panel without it being in a zone or scan? The Zones only hold 60 channels, and the Scan holds 15. Does that mean I have to create multiple zones to hold all channels, then access a channel from it? I've tried to input the channel number but the radio wont accept it because it's not in the zone or scan, and turning the selector knob has the same result, only going through the saved channels in the zone.

Is it possible? I see a couple videos about it, but I don't see where you can get the android app.

Due to the inconsistent and unreliable information concerning OneUI 8.5 and the S22 series, specifically if it will receive it, there will no longer be any posts allowed concerning news, rumors, or reports, regardless of the source. Ok, bear with me as I am fresh to DMR, and just now beginning to get the basics of it.

So I have Baofeng DM 1701 and an Ailuence HD1 radios (yea, I know they're old, but When I first started out in the hobby, one of my boys was killed 3 years ago, an I lost interest in a lot of thing that I am now beginning to get back into). So I have the BlueDV set up on my laptop, and the OpenGD77 installed on the Baofeng to use as a hotspot ( I did so because there is only a DSTAR repeater in my area, an no other digital repeaters within 30 or so miles). I'm hoping that I can use this setup until I can see if it's worth investing in a real hotspot.

So my question is twofold actually. The first being will this steup allow me to actually utilize the digital network? But the second one is when inputting the frequency on the BlueDV settings, do I use the any frequency to do it with, or do I put in the closest repeater? Like I said, I'm bare new to digital, and it took a minute to just basically understand talk groups, color codes, time slots, etc..

If anyone can offer assistance, or at least point me to a useful and simple video or site that will explain it all, I'd appreciate it. I can't tell you how many videos I've watched that left me in a deeper cloud of confusion.

Last 3 or so days, when I search for album art, all is get is random images, with some being inappropriate. I've tried force stopping and clearing the cache, but it hasn't helped.

Is this something app side, or something else art work?

If you are experiencing lags, slow responses, or subpar operations right after updating to OneUI 8.5 stable...slow your roll, and give your phone time to catch up.

This update is large, adding some things and removing others. But things will not run smoothly immediately after installing right away because the phone has to play catch up to your system, apps, network, and how you use it. But just don't expect it to immediately start running perfectly right out the gate.

Also, to help it out, remember to do the proper procedures after any update, like cleaning the cache, clearing the memory, using the App Booster in Good Guardians (US only), and rebooting the phone. Doing these simple 5 minutes of maintenance will greatly help your phone to live it full potential.

So just give it some time to do its thing.

With the release of stable OneUI 8.5 now here, any initial releases to be posted in the Megathread, as well as questions about release in specific areas/regions.
