Inquiry about Laptop loan programs

Is there anywhere in Qatar where you can request for a Laptop Loan ( decent Laptop ) capable of running engineering programs like MATLAB ASPEN HYSYS AUTOCAD. I know QU used to provide these services in the past but it looks like they have discontinued. Is it possible to look elsewhere or ask a different agency as I am in urgent need of one. My laptops been running for the last 7 years and it cant keep up anymore, always crashes when I open complex software.

If anyone knows anything abt where to ask please let me know.

a question about how an international may fair in the US

I am currently doing my bachelors in ChemEng in Qatar but I would really like to pursue masters and possibly a PHD in the US or UK. However, if a industrial opportunity ever shows up , I would take that anyday. So I wanted to ask what are the chances of internationals studying in the US to end up with a job in the US market ? If you know anyone, who did get one after studying, how did they and what type of person were they like?

whats the best way to manage time as a ChemEng student

i have stuff to revise and study, homeworks and I have to look out for internships. Furthermore, I really like to get involved in research projects in the university. Lastly, hanging out once in a while is also really nice but i end up doing it frequently. The problem is I cant manage all of this in a week, either I slack off in one thing or another, mainly studying and revising. Is there any tips you could give to a upcoming sophomore about managing time.

I really dont know how to start, because it involves alot of formatting. Where can i start from scratch and what should i focus on as a upcoming sophomore chemical engineering student. I dont really have any work experience, only a few volunteering experiences at hospitals and im currently doing a research internship where the project is abt corrosion on metals with epoxy coatings. is there any video that can help me on how to format a cv like document in word or google docs. I want to also create like 3 cvs for 3 different positions I want to apply for, how do i approach that? Any help would be appreciated

Best way to secure As in these courses?

I will be taking Introduction to Chemical Engineering I,II and Thermodynamics I,II and lastly Fluid Mechanics very soon.

The books our university uses are :
Intro 1 and 2 - Elementary Principles of Chemical Processes, 3/e, by Richard M. Felder & Ronald W. Rousseau, J. Wiley, 2005. (ISBN 978-0-471-37587-6)

Fluid Mechanics - “Fluid Mechanics; Fundamentals and Application”, Yunus A Cengel, John M. Cimbala, McGraw Hill, ISBN 978-1-259-01122-1”

Thermo 1 and 2 - Y. Cengel and M. Boles, Thermodynamics: An Engineering Approach, 10th Edition, 2023, McGraw Hill

What would be the best way to study for these courses using these books, and if you guys have any suggestions for other books which can give me a better understanding of these 5 courses then please let me know. I have until late august to study Intro 1 and 2. I will have to catch up on Thermodynamics and Fluid Mechanics later on when I get a break in winter break. I really need to secure all As for the next 2 semesters to secure or even aim for a scholarship, would be really helpful if I got some insight from people who have already taken these courses.

Best ways to set yourself up for a job post-graduation

I will be starting my sophomore year at Qatar University in their Chemical Engineering program, and I wanted to know any tips on what I should do in the summer and in the next few semesters that could benefit me in the future when I am searching for a job or applying for a master's abroad. In the Middle East, it is already really hard to be guaranteed a job in Qatar's chemical industries, as they are mainly reserved for natives, but I would like to increase my chances of standing out as a top candidate.
