How do you Defeat this monster?

Continuing my game the previous night and have managed to complete Abyssal Space Oddity mission, collected the Onslaught Mk1 Ancient and have fought the first Threat fleet - (What are those, an AI hivemind... seems to contradict the logic from Stellaris) and proceeded to the Galatia station. But quickly afterwards decided it was worth it , for some reason, to return back through another ''young'' hole and face whatever was heading my way. Upon entry I discovered another baren planet and two seconds an unidentified fleet ramming into mine.

I thought it would be an easy fight since I was undefeated during the whole game and have fought multiple fleets so far. Easy as making a sandwich...

But no, I failed to notice a massive swarm of small ships, five to six medium ones, a big drone swarm one and this monstrosity up in the picture. I lost half of my military ships, six cruisers (those funny pointy ones) two carriers and am prepared to loose more in the hopes of winning an engagement and capturing all the worthy ships, including the ''Beehive'' above.

So what are your strategies when it comes to this? I don't believe most of the players ever had to pay the cost encountering the unstoppable enemy such as the Threat but you can always farm their ships by chance if you don't mind the resource cost. What do you bring into battle and is the cost worth it - by that, I mean, how will it fare against the human factions armament and is it worth the deployment points? Better question is what other ships would be ideal to go, along side the one above, into an engagement?

Thank you in advance!

I don't know what I am doing wrong in this mission...

I started Abyssal Space Oddity mission and went to find the objective. I read that the MK1 model of the ship should be retrieved as a main point of the quest. How to get over this?

Is it worth exploring faraway systems and what are the benefits?

So I stocked up on a lot of fuel and supplies for my thirty ship fleet and have set on to explore a faraway red sun system found in the left bottom corner on the map. I don't know what I will find or what to expect but, since it's so isolated, I feel something good will come out eventually - otherwise why would the devs bother with such a design... I don't plan on colonizing but think it is the duty of every player to make a trip to that distant system once in every playthrough - similar to a pilgrimage but for material reasons.

Regarding the question, what are the benefits on a whole level when setting up colonies faraway? Does the game dynamically react to the development of uninhabited solar systems - a lonely fleet being able to refuel more often, factions frequently making peace while having more resources to trade between each other... to name a few examples.

I understand the game mechanics but haven't got the time to play much and test it further than one and a half game years. Thank you in advance for any and all of your replies. I appreciate it.

What is happening with the newest free AI?

So two days ago I saw the newly added Qwen 3.8 max being available for a short time and decided to use it. Day after day I would create, in this case, a character in Live Another Life preset series and would wait for a couple of minutes of loading just to receive this error and give up to work on something else. But this time I decided to use another paid AI model, Gemini 3.1 Flash Lite in order to prove my theory right. After just a few seconds, it loaded as seen in the second picture.

So, what is the problem here? Is this done on purpose and why has the model not being checked in first before being made available to users?

''Everything is better then lying around, waiting for me to fuck you'' - How many times in life did you said a similar line and to how many people?

The one and only free AI on Pax Historia is gone. What now... will there be a new one added soon?

I don't mind letting the AI sort all by itself, and I quite enjoyed many of my shenanigans while playing. I didn't remembered the name nor do I care but it did a great job illustrating the events and adding the advice (minus when it made a mess on the map) but, in short the experience was interesting and it made me come to the site and spend a whole night writing and reading.

I logged in today and got the above picture. I thought maybe there was an update to the existing AI model I was using but instead it got wiped from the site like a fly from a ceramic tile. Never bothered signing up for that 300 token daily promotion as all was going smoothly, not by mistake but by choice. and now I am forced to pay for the cheapest crap and pray it lasts.

And now I am asking if a new version of the free AI model will be added soon or some time in the future...?

P.S: I guess this goes out as a lesion to us all that good things never last long

Best post-apocalypse, Fallout-like, models where you play as a single dude?

I am looking at similarly mentioned models to play as in but wonder what are your favourites... Which ones did you found to be very flexible in regard to the player action?
