No one can diagnose water issue!
Location: Basement bedroom apartment in three unit rowhouse
Months ago I noticed yellow efflorescence and high humidity in my bedroom where an old fireplace once was (now full of bricks and painted over). Over time, the adjoining drywall also showed signs of moisture, and I eventually cut out the affected drywall.
I then ran a dehumidifier for a month, and yet the area still remained with high humidity.
I've called plumbers, a basement professional, a mold professional and a chimney professional, all of whom do not know how water is entering the area.
I did have one company replace my outdoor drainage pipe and waterproof the exterior of my home, but that did not have an effect on the moisture levels.
I just miss my bedroom and really want to put up drywall, but I can't when the lower corner area reads 25% humidity, and the brick area reads anywhere from 25 to 30% humidity.
My only thought is that maybe somehow it's coming from down the chimney or for something on the roof, traveling down to the basement apartment. But I feel like the chimney professionals wouldn't have missed something like that.
I'm at my wit's end, all suggestions appreciated!!!
Tips for small spaces /bar/ venue
I have an act I love, but no idea how to alter it to work in a tight venue. I use big props like a huge boa, but I really want to take this act everywhere! Advice?
Live band performance tips
Hello, I'm doing a live band performance in 5 hours. I've done zero planning due to being preoccupied with my full-time job. Now I'm freaking out as I have no idea what I'm going to do. Any and all advice is appreciated!
Yard landscaping advice
In NY, trying to liven up yard space. The right side gets little sun, so hoping to plant rhodedendron. Thinking a cherry blossom tree in the middle of the yard, and I plan to build a big planter on the right for herbs. The black represents area I want to put pavers.
Accepting any and all advice! Is a tree right in the middle weird? Would also love plant suggestions!

Dehumidifier still filling daily 2 weeks after leak repair — normal drying or bad sign?
Water was entering my basement apartment. The issue has been fixed, but the bedroom wall (and adjoining brick wall) took some damage.
After cutting out damaged drywall, I've ran a dehumidifier for the past two weeks and have to empty it everyday! Is this a sign the issue isn't actually fixed, or will it take more time than I thought to air it out?

Since I bought a house/rental property last year, my youngest brother (Z) calls once every 2-3 weeks to ask to borrow money. I often oblige, but also let him know I really don't have it like that. And sometimes - like when he asks for money to go the bar with friends - I straight up say no. He still calls however, and does eventually pay me back. He's 21, sweet kid but reckless and figuring at all out as we all did.
Z called me last night and I ignored it. I was having a bad day, strapped for cash and didn't want to deal with him requesting money. It turns out he was dealing with chaos from a friend group we've all told him to stay away from, and was seeking safety from a local gang looking to jump him (over the kind of drama you'd expect from high schoolers, not grown adults)
I feel bad for not answering his call now realizing he was likely seeking safety from his big sister amid a crazy night, but it also feels like it's a boy who cried wolf kind of situation? And now he won't talk to me.
I ignored my brother's call in his time of need and our relationship is now different. Aita?
I want to liven up this yard for my tenants!
EDIT:
- The building in the photo is NOT my property. It's a furniture factory that makes up my far yard wall.

The water intrusion was remediated 2 weeks ago. Water is no longer entering this area.
The damage from this water has impacted 3 ft by 8 ft of drywall, and left the adjoining brick wall with yellow efflorescence
After cutting through the drywall (intending to replace it) I observed some black mold (see pictures)
What is the best way to proceed? Can I DIY this or do I need to hire a professional?
