Non t'amo più by Tosti first raw take

This is my first raw take of Tosti's dramatic tale of lost love. I'm still learning the piece and had trouble with syncing audio and video due to tremors today so my apologies. I'm hoping listeners are listening more than seeing and can enjoy. I will work out the issues for my Final Cut.

Recondita armonia from the opera Tosca

Hi everyone,
I wanted to share this "bare naked" live recording of me singing Recondita Armonia from the opera Tosca by Puccini. It’s a completely raw, performance captured in my home using a Mac and good mic.

After 15 years away from music while navigating MSA-C and Dysarthria, I had a dream that I could sing again—and when I tried there was something still there , I could. Finding my voice again has been a miracle for me and I hope you find something in this recording to enjoy as much as I do. I am a work in progress so please be patient and enjoy!
Thanks for listening!
🫶.

Recondita armonia (Tosca) - Return to Singing with MSA-C and dysarthria #opera

https://youtube.com/shorts/IFvJXzxElaQ?feature=share

"Recondita armonia" ("Hidden harmony") is the captivating first aria sung by the painter Mario Cavaradossi in Act I of Giacomo Puccini's opera, Tosca.

In this piece, Cavaradossi contrasts the fair, blue-eyed beauty of the portrait he is painting with the dark-eyed features of his lover, Floria Tosca. He marvels at how different traits blend together to create a singular, mysterious perfection—a "hidden harmony."

Please tell me if this sounds okay

La dolcissima effigie is from an Italian opera. I'm looking to see if I should continue to practice and see if it fits my voice. Thank you kindly to all listeners 🤗

La dolcissima effigie

After a 15-year hiatus due to chronic neurological health issues, I’ve recently found my way back to singing. It feels like a miracle to be performing again.

I’m currently working on rebuilding my legato phrasing and breath management—specifically navigating some persistent involuntary diaphragm movement. I would love to get your thoughts on my performance of 'La dolcissima effigie.' Does this piece sit well for my voice, and what do you hear in terms of my legato work and technical consistency?"

USMC vet, tenor & former performer surviving with MSA-C. I have dysarthria which makes English especially challenging. From Gilbert & Sullivan to opera, singing is my passion and resilience. Sharing my journey and vocal clips as I keep the music alive. Please enjoy until I'm able to do a final follow up.
