Can we get an anti-AI rule already bruh this is so annoying

I've seen like, ATLEAST 3 ai generated OCs in the last week.. I don't have screenshots of them since I can't find one of them, and the 2nd one got deleted by it's OP after they got flamed for it, but the 3rd one was posted literally like a few minutes before this post and I just saw it

None of them even admit or advertise it either, all 3 of them did not disclose that they were AI and the 2nd one even doubled down with fake layers and a fake sketch bruh, so many people fell for it both times and praised the "art" as if it were real. Not having a rule against AI is flat out just a detriment to the subreddit, it let's AI supporters feel perfectly at home here with absolutely no incentive to leave, so long as they lie about it and try to trick, you which they already do anyway

What do you think of a protagonist/hero who turns into the main villian throughout the story?

Stories are almost always about the protagonist's goal and how they get it, right? In order to do this, they have to overcome some kind of personal hurdle most of the time, but what if they failed that part? What if in the pursuit of their goal their unstoppable determination to achieve it was exactly what led to their downfall, as they were so focused on getting to that point that their entire ideology became corrupted in the process?

In my characters case, she leads an empire because of backstory that I won't get too much into, but essentially, her main goal is attaining freedom, justice, and liberty for her people; and more importantly protecting the people closest to her while doing so.

The antagonist character is essentially trying to take that away, obviously, but what if instead of just overcoming the antagonist my MC tries to use her empire to conquer the world by any means necessary, because she genuinely believes that this is the only way to permanently protect people from somebody like the antagonist rising again, and so she resorts to things that she would normally stand completely against simply because she believes she "has to"?

Essentially the way that I imagine this playing out, is that the story would be very heavily told from the protagonist's perspective; moments with them would be depicted as heroic and good, and this will be true.. at first.. After a certain point it may become ever so slightly questionable as to whether or not these moments are ACTUALLY good, or if they're simply depicted as such because the protagonist believes they are. Over the course of the story, the perspective from which it is told will very gradually shift to OTHER characters, almost unnoticeable unless you're looking for it. But the more that the perspective shifts, the more the former protagonist is depicted in a menacing and morally questionable light, as she stops being filtered through her own bias to the reader/audience. The final culmination of this shift will be the undoubtable revelation that she has infact changed for the worse. What do you think?

And inverse to this, I'm thinking the former antagonist could also be set off on a redemption path due to the events that the protagonist's fall sets into motion

Can I get a pc that lives up to my ideal standards with a budget of ~$300?

Hi, I'm very new to anything pc related (or atleast REAL pc related, I've only really used laptops until this point) so when it comes to things like which CPUs and GPUs to look for, aswell as just the general pc market, I am quite lost.. so I thought I'd come here to ask for advice on what to look for / if this is even possible

The games I am most interested in playing are things like rdr2, the insomniac spiderman games, and maybe marvel rivals? That game looks cool but from what I've heard it is horridly optimized, so I wouldn't be surprised if that one just isn't possible on this budget but you get the idea.

I don't know anything about building a pc, but I'm aware that pre-builts are much more expensive so I feel like I could learn (plus I have a friend who knows alot in that field so I'm sure he could help me out)

I assume that inorder for this to happen I'd have to do things like look for used parts and retrofit a cheaper base, but I simply have no idea what to look for

Does anyone else really hate when fantasy/mythology is needlessly bound by logic??

I keep seeing things like "oh Vampires should die in moonlight too because it's just the sun being reflected" or Vampires also being hurt by artificial UV light instead of only the sun, or like whenever Santa's sleigh is powered by turbo jets or something (although this one is usually for non-serious stories or comedic purposes so it's fine most of the time), you get the idea

JJBA is honestly the only example that I can really let pass because vampires in that universe are really weird anyway and follow their own rules, but other than that it just always feels so forced and to me atleast, it completely takes away from WHY I love mythological creatures so much; that being the mystery and just overall fantastical elements that make them so unique

My favorite of my OCs, her name is Tabs

Here are some drawings/little doodles of her, she's a character in a fantasy/soft sci-fi world I created

As you can sort of see, she uses magic that primarily takes the form of black or red rose vines (these drawings might be a little inconsistent in terms of design because (aside from the first one, which is where I finalized her non-armor design) I picked these in no particular order so they're all in different stages of me figuring out how she should look

Any ideas how I can make this characters magic a bit more interesting?

So I have this this character (who is most likely going to be either my protagonist or fulfill a larger overarching role I haven't 100% decided yet), her name is Tabs, and like each of my important characters she has her own unique gimmick to what she can do, but I'm having a bit of trouble getting past the rough idea phase; > what I have so far is that she uses a more complex form of telekinesis as her main ability, with every act of magic she does manifesting these crimson red rose vines around it, with her also being able to summon and control these rose vines independently aswell.

> but my 2 problems are that #1: how can I make telekinesis an interesting primary ability, especially without it being too OP? It can't require some insane level of concentration or focus bevause this is her preferred method of attack.

> And #2: beyond just the telekinesis thing I really want her abilities to have a much darker almost "horror" theme to them, above all I want to be able to make her magic legitimately scary once she starts using anything past her basic telekinetic powers but I have no idea how to even START going about this because examples to draw from are few and far between.

After all this I'm sure I can figure out the rest, it's just hard to create a foundation to start building off of for characters like this so I'd appreciate any advice you might have on the subject

How do I make it all into a real story?

I rarely see any people with this problem, and when I do there are never any solutions so I've come here to just outright ask what to do or if anybody has any insight on the matter.

So, I'll cut to the chase; I have a (quite large) cast of characters, about as much worldbuilding as I can at this point, an almost fully fleshed out magic system, many of my own takes on fantasy tropes and how I've reinterpreted them, the world itself is as built out as it can be and quite honestly I love what I've done with it so far, but none of these are my problem. My problem is that I have NO IDEA what to actually WRITE. I have this entire world, all these characters, and I just can not figure out what to DO with any of it
