Some old boxed PC games that I found.

Some old boxed PC games that I found.

Not sure these are desirable outside of the racing games which probably are.

Are there Boston BA745 desirable within the community?

I tested them out and I thought they sounded okay. One thing that is a nice plus is that you can adjust the level of the subwoofer. I have another pair by altec Lansing where I have to use peace EQ on my computer to adjust the levels.

Can't wait to hear what this sounds like.

I'm hoping that I'll be able to find some good samples from this.

Huge box of Quartz-halogen/quartz flash/discharge tubes?

Do people still buy these? I'm looking to get rid of the whole lot of them.

I have about six boxes of all these different types of bulbs/ vacuum tubes.

If I were to give an estimate it would be somewhere around 150 bulbs and tubes total. From what I gathered so far. Some of these are for photography. Others are for scientific equipment then lastly the tubes for TV and old radios. Any information would be appreciated. I'm a little overwhelmed with this lot.

Very impressed with the build quality of this unit. Kenwood KX -98W

I was just taking a poke around , noticed how good the build quality is on this mechanism.

How do you like this unit?

This stuff is fascinating , I had no idea it would be so much fun to learn

I currently took on an apprenticeship to strengthen my skills with fixing vintage audio gear. --My boss gave me this book to read. -- I had no idea how fascinating this topic is, how deeply it delves into science, mathematics and so many other interesting topics.

This book is a bit outdated but it's still an interesting portal into the history of the hobby, and it's relation to times of war ---- I have a long way to go with understanding all the concepts but I am determined to get it.

Here's something you don't see everyday

Found it in the back of an old phonograph.

I I think this might be one of the earliest versions of the the flexi disk.

Yamaha KX-R430 main belt replacement

Had to take a break: Trying to figure out how to replace the main belt for this unit. So far I got the counter belt size perfect on the (second attempt) . Now I'm stuck with the main belt: I can't seem to find at the moment a way to get into it enough to slip a new one on. Any advice?

The future arrived exactly as predicted: overengineered, underexplained, and absolutely overflowing with slots

A DIY dish reflector for a USB Wi-Fi adapter.

Okay I know it's ugly 😂.

I did however gaine significant signal strength. For upgrades I'm going to use a more rounded metal bowl and find a better method of holding it in place. (Not Tape)

Would anyone be interested in a guide to building your own set-top box?

I've built several of these over the years, and they're a fantastic way to reuse an old laptop or desktop that would otherwise sit unused.
