The INJUSTICE of Islam against Infertile women

Infertility (not being able to bear children) is experienced by millions of women worldwide. Roughly 9 percent of all women aged 15-49 are Infertile. The number rises to a whopping 19 percent if we consider married women who have not had a child yet. 12.6 percent for women aged 15-29, 22 percent for women aged 30-39, and a massive 26.8 percent for women aged 40-49. After this point most women reach menopause (typically from ages 45-55), meaning they cannot bear children at all. Thus, a very large percentage of women, young and old, cannot bear children.

See:

Do these women have any less of a right to experience love? Do these women have any less of a right to have a healthy, loving marriage? According to Islam, Yes.

It is authentically reported from the Prophet and his Sahabas that they heavily disliked marrying women who cannot bear children, even if they are otherwise lovely and of a good lineage.

Report from Muhammad:

>A man came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said: “I have found a woman possessing ḥasab (status/lineage) and position, except that she does not bear children. Should I marry her?”

>So he prohibited him. Then he came to him a second time, and he prohibited him. Then he came to him a third time, and he prohibited him.

>Then he said: “Marry the fertile, loving woman, for I shall have greater numbers through you.”

A man comes up to Muhammad and asks him whether he can marry a beautiful and noble woman who cannot bear children. Muhammad rejects this thrice**, and his reasoning is that Muslim men should have many children so the Ummah can increase.**

Report from Abdullah b. Umar:

>Al-Ḥasan ibn Abī Ṭālib (352-439) informed me; he said: Abū Muḥammad ʿUbayd Allāh ibn Aḥmad ibn Maʿrūf, the judge (d. 381), narrated to us; he said: al-Faḍl ibn Aḥmad ibn Manṣūr al-Zubaydī (+) dictated to us from his memory; he said: Ziyād ibn Ayyūb (166-252) narrated to us; he said: Ismāʿīl ibn ʿUlayyah (110-193) narrated to us, from Ayyūb (68-131), from Nāfiʿ, from Ibn ʿUmar, that he married a woman and found her to be a gray-haired woman, so he divorced her, and he said:

>“A mat in a house is better than a woman who does not give birth. By Allah, I do not approach you out of sexual desire, but I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: ‘Marry the loving and fertile women, for I shall outnumber the nations through you on the Day of Resurrection.’”

Ibn Umar is one of the most noble and prestigious companions of Muhammad, and here he is acting based on a command of Muhammad. He considers infertile women worse than a mat in the house. These are the words of someone from "the best generation".

---

It is very common for women to be infertile, yet Muhammad made it extremely Makruh or perhaps even forbidden to marry them. What kind of cultic belief is this that you should only marry those women with whom you can have many children, just so Muhammad can boast of it on the Day of Judgement?

Muslims often say Islam made it far better for widows: But they casually ignore the fact that it is only the young and fertile widows who you are recommended to marry. Most widows would be older, around 40-50 or maybe more. They are most likely infertile or have entered menopause, and thus cannot bear children. Marrying them would be greatly disliked.

Out of all the "widows" Muhammad married, only one was old like this and his reason for marrying her was that he wanted someone to take care of his children. This same woman (Sawdah) also feared that Muhammad would divorce her due to her old age, and thus relinquished her daily rights.

This is the religion that gave women their rights?

Making EVERY conversation about religion

Religious people can't go a minute without bringing up religion, it drives me INSANE!! My little brother asked a simple question about the moon size or something and before I could give a scientific logical answer they cut me off bringing god into it and somehow the topic turned to the splitting of the moon!! All of the sudden the conversation was about the signs of the end of time!! It was so sad how i could see the fear and the religious trauma literally forming in my little brother's face, an innocent question turned into an indoctrination session so quick. I tried to give him a proper explanation after, but he lost interest and spaced out... i doubt he'd be asking any other questions any time soon.

If god is real, he'd take pride in menstruation

Research shows that Menstrual (period) blood contains stem cells similar to those found in bone marrow or umbilical cord blood. Stem cells are cells in the body that can change into a huge range of cell types, including bone, muscle, and nerve. This versatility allows tissue to regenerate and overcome disease, and these cells can be transplanted into patients for treatment, such as a bone marrow transplant to treat someone with leukaemia.

If god existed he'd share that knowledge, instead of telling muhammed to drink camel urine as medicine, but shame women for menstruating. Hed brag about creating women actually, he wouldn't try to hide and cover, silence and shame them. If anything creating women would be his strongest proof, "mothers" to be more precise, the creators and protectors of life, the ones he "created in his image". He wouldn't be disgusted by the sole reason for humanity's existence: (menstruation), rather he would speak highly of it, instead of shaming and rejecting or even isolating women during it.

Men created god and put him in THEIR image when in reality god represents everything that a MOTHER is, creating and protecting life, nurturing and healing, caring and loving unconditionally.

Religion is truly plague to the mind

Im so fed up w religious people and their way of thinking, or lack there of. My aunt and I were talking and she mentioned her friend's sister that has schizophrenia (PROFESSIONALLY diagnosed fyi), and told me her friend cut her sister off of her meds because she believes its actually jinn possession rather than a mental disorder.. her reasoning being "she slept alot when on meds"!! Keep in this poor girl was suffering from mental turmoil, sleep deprivation and harming herself as well as everyone around her by breaking furniture and throwing it around. OF COURSE she'll sleep plenty once she gets the proper medication that calms her brain! Especially since as i mentioned she's severely sleep deprived!!

And as i tried to explain all that to my religious aunt who's highly educated btw, yet of course agrees with this nonsense which only shows how numbing religion truly is to the brain. She kept telling me symptoms of schizo such as "her voice changing", as evidence that its jinn.. as if voice change is a supernatural thing and not a basic human ability.. i cant stop thinking about that poor girl who btw is locked up in a room by her family, namly that controlling sister, claiming she's "uncontrollable" and "scary".

Why's god so weird about menstruation?

The existence of menstruation i believe exposes so easily how fake and obviously man made religion is. If he created it then whys he so disgusted and weird about it? Why are women forbidden from practicing the most sacred religion practices during it? Why would the almighty being care if a woman is on her period or not to accept her deeds? Forbidding women from practicing their faith and severing their contract with their god has got to be the most egotistical and narcissistic MAN MADE rule...

a few years ago when I was muslim i was at a very low point of my life and started coping with religion, in my religious phase during ramadan i was really looking forward to the last 10 days, iykyk. But alas, i got my period... and suddenly i was a complete outsider feeling so alone a alienated, when everyone else got to communicate with god (praying and fasting), only because im impure... it was so depressing and upsetting especially when i needed spiritual (mental) help the most.

People around tried to tell me i can still at least do dua or read the quran... using my phone of course... because Im too filthy to touch the book of god... all i was thinking about is what if i didn't have the phone option? Would I be completely cut off from god? why? Why is god rejecting one the most defining traits of womanhood? Whyd he create it and then be so weird about it? Not the criminals or the sinners... no its the women on menstruation whom deeds he chose to reject, and cut connection (prayer) with.
