If I was a wizard, I would create a spell that you could call other people. So, you would put your wand tip up to your neck and then the other callers voice would be transmitted, allowing you to talk to them similar to muggle calling devices.

:in the books it says how magic cannot be found in science, and scientists look for magic IN science. so this is a wizarding parallel that could overlap with reality.
