These coaches have generators which produce electricity that power up the coaches

WAG-9 locos were made to carry freights & are used extensively by the Indian railways....

WAG-9 stands for

W- Broad gauge

A- Ac traction

G- goods

9- 9000 hp

Generally they carry about 50-60 wagons...at a time...the last wagon is a guard wagon.....
