For those who have tinted only the front windows and windshield on your model Y Juniper, did you notice significant reduction in heat retention? I drive solo 90% of the time , rarely anyone in the back seat. Not sure it’s worth the added expense of tinting the rear windows and hatch. The factory tint on the rear of the car is plenty dark for my liking, don’t want it any darker.

My Rivian R1T is being totaled from a rear end collision. While I have loved the Rivian, I have decided to get a Tesla for the FSD. My work commute is 40 minutes with long stretches of traffic lights that is quite fatiguing at the end of a work day. I did an extended 2 hr test drive with a premium rwd Juniper and the FSD was incredible. During the test drive i had the car drive me all the way to work and back and it did it perfectly without me disengaging FSD.

Prior to the Rivian I had a 2020 model Y and I hated the suspension. It was so harsh and made my commute even more fatiguing. The juniper I tested was much better than my 2020 model Y. It was quieter and the suspension was much smoother particularly on hard bumps and pot holes. However, I still felt a lot of road vibrations . I felt like I was not very isolated from the texture of the road. I understand it won’t be as good as the air suspension on the Rivian. I am willing to give that up for FSD.

The model YL is slated for release in September / October and introduces electronically controlled suspension that per Tesla helps smooth out road imperfections. I understand this suspension is also currently in the performance.

For those who have driven the YL, how much better is the suspension when compared to the premium juniper? Does it provide more road isolation for the driver?

The YL is also appealing to me because I have 4 kids. My other car is a minivan so I don’t need need the extra capacity, but It would be nice to have the flexibility to load the family in the Tesla particularly when I want FSD to shuttle us around. When I had the model Y my kids hated sitting in the middle seat in the back. Having captains chairs and two seats in the 3rd row is preferable. But the capacity is a secondary consideration to the ride comfort for my daily commute.

My 2016 EG9600 is still working great with beautiful picture. I purchase an Apple TV and I’m having trouble with CEC. With the Apple TV remote I am able to turn the TV on and control the sound of the connected arc soundbar but I cannot get the Apple TV remote to turn off the TV using CEC. Similarly I can use the TV remote to control the Apple TV but I can’t turn off the Apple TV with the tv remote. Did this model not support power off via CEC?
