Love this thing. Model AW1158-05L or as my kid calls it “The blue one”

I’ve always wanted a white watch. Have a bunch of other watches, just didn’t have a white one. I ordered this case off of Etsy. Came in last night and then Hydro modded this morning.

This turned out way better than I thought it would. My wife wasn’t happy about me having a white watch. She didn’t think they looked good. She said it’s one of her favorites in my collection now.

Bought at Walmart for $25 a couple months ago, but didn't wear it because I couldn't read it very well in the sun. It's insane the difference this makes. Didn't take very long to do. Would it even been faster if I pushed the "light" button out when I installed the movement.
Had to take it back apart. I'm happy with it.

My wife and daughter went to Walmart to grab some stuff and I always say “bring me back something good!” Then don’t usually bring me anything, it’s meant more to be funny. They get home and I ask “Did you guys get me something good?”

My daughter pull this out of the bag and she said “Yep! “I haven’t even heard of this model. But man, it looks good on the wrist. She was so excited that she picked it out herself.

I have some pretty awesome and watches and some I’ve spent a pretty penny on. A lot of great Casio’s as well. But I think this will always be my favorite now.

I have a few watches on Amazon that are on my “Let me know when this gets down to a certain price“ list. This dropped from $$220 to $140. Snagged it immediately.

It looked good in the pictures, but I didn’t realize how amazing it would look in real life. The dial is incredible. It has the shimmer that I can’t explain. If $220 is nothing to you, honestly I would say buy it now. But I was definitely happy waiting for it to go down in price well worth the wait.

I put this on my Amazon price alert. I saw that it goes on sale every now and again. Today I get something in the mail and realized my wife bought me the watch. From $188 down to $118.

I’m a little paranoid about the acrylic glass but I’m told it’s easy enough to clean up light scratches.

This watch looks amazing in person. It looked good online, but it doesn’t do it justice. I would recommend even if it wasn’t on sale.

I was on the fence about getting this model watch and then I saw this color and my seven year-old self screamed at me. (this is just a rendering I did with Gemini )

Went to the hardware store this morning and got the spray paint for the buttons. And ordered a paint pen for the Casio logo.

I bought the watch on eBay, and it’s coming from Japan so it’s gonna take a little bit. About mid August.

Also doing a Hydro mod as well. I just ordered the oil for that. (that was kind of a pain in the butt to find.). My only worry is that the paint on the buttons might get into the oil after a while.

Ordered my watch on the 21st on ippowatch.com. Just got here today. I took a surprise $80 hit because of tariffs. But honestly, I think it was worth it. I’ll use eBay next time so I don’t have to pay that fee, but I’m not upset about how it turned out.

I want to get another one of these that isn’t black. Just a contrast this one in my watch case.

Bought this on Prime Day sale for $108. I’ve been wanting a white watch for a while. For $100 it felt pretty cheap. The digital read out was very faint and only if I tilted my wrist at the right angle.

Some people might like this, but for the amount of money it cost I thought it would be a little better. I knew G shocks were bulky, but this felt ridiculous and light and cheap.

Cards on the table, this was my first G shock. So maybe I’m just ignorant.

I have spent two days trying to find a combination of dials/cases/hands and bezel insert. I was trying to go for a stealth look at first and realized it was looking so much like the SRPD79. So I decided to go on a different direction.

It’s my first Seiko mod, so I was trying to find a dial that had the Seiko logo on it. I know it’s not important to some, but in this particular build, it was to me.

Between Aliexpress, Weezmods and WR accessories I found everything! It’s gonna be a couple weeks for everything to get here. I’m so impatient right now. What do you guys think?
