No Changes For General Appeal Passers?

Just finally received my NoA as a GA passer today and oddly, contrary to what everyone like myself was expecting, schedules from the PPE to registration are no different from what initial upcat passers received...there are no changes in schedule in consideration for those who were offered slots much later...

Whats odd still, the PPE guideline link in my NoA does not lead to it correctly and is essentially broken. The OUR eventually sent a working link, twice, in my email, but it still leads to the unchanged schedule for PPE and med cert validation for initial upcat passers....

I was wondering if any GA/Waitlisted passers are encountering the same problems as I am, and this is some unique mistake from the OUR...or are things really as is? :,)

Different Enrollment Schedules for Appeal Passers?

Helloo po..please help a freshie out na sobrang lutang ;-;

Medyo nalilito ako sa flow paano enrollment periods for those na nakapasok through general appeals. When I first accepted the course I was given from uplb last week, I skimmed through the office of the registrar's website which the DIWA portal linked to for enrollment guideline updates, but since there was nothing explicitly said in their announcements, I didn't pay much attention to the rest of the website and only depended my knowledge of the enrollment guidelines on the website (which I agree, is my fault for not being MORE attentive).

And now, Im seeing other people already proceeding with the initial requirements needed for enrollment, like the PPE and med cert validation (ddl until today for my course: bs bio) and I didn't know any of these things until today....

I had to go through other places on the internet to find more information about UPLB's enrollment process,,,,but im assuming most of what they're discussing was already a given and known to them if they're non-appeal passers.

And apparently, most of the enrollment guidelines were given through the NoA(?)(please correct me if I'm wrong), and until now, I don't have my NoA even after accepting the slot offered to me since last week. I only have my acceptance confirmation letter, and that's all I have from UP,,,

Is this going to affect my slot going into UPLB in any sort of way? Can I still validate my med cert and complete PPE sa mismong on-site enrollment registration?

When's the Enrollment Period for UPLB BS BIO?

Just got into UPLB through the appeal process, and I am beyond grateful to be able to get into my dream school and dream course!!!

Although now, I'm worried if I got in a little bit too late. I was wondering if anyone knows if appeal qualifiers have a separate enrollment period or hahabol din kami sa iba na nakaqualify initially. agawan din ba 'to ng units..?? medyo kinakabahan ng onti, sorry kung para bang sobrang walang kamalay-malay yung tao sa dream school niya, di ko ineexpect na makakapasok pa ako after ma reject ako nung lumabas UPCAT results.

To Molecular Biology and Biotechnologists: What is the actual experience like?

My first prio course at DLSU was Human Biology, as I do plan on taking med (but this could change along the way; you never know what one could encounter in the future). However, I ended up landing on my second option instead: Molecular Biology and Biotechnology.

Honestly, I didn't think I'd end up in this course. If I didn't pass humbio, I was fully expecting that I wasn't going to get into any other course I chose, especially MBB. I've read enough about the course, and I think I'm (somewhat) aware of what I would possibly get myself into if I continue with this course. I'm aware it's a slightly less than ideal but still valid pre-med course if I ever do continue my MD (and if anyone wants to share their first-hand or others' experiences in having MBB as a premed and how the journey was for them, it would be much appreciated!) and its career paths are mostly research-based and if ever one would want to excel in a position like that, they'd have to pursue higher education after a bachelor's.

I just wanted to know what others' experiences have been in this program. Even though it was only recently offered at DLSU, can it hold its own against other universities that have established MBB programs for much longer (like UPD, UST, etc.)? Do you think it's worth it despite being relatively new? Aside from the usual med or research career path, is a decent MBB corpo job possible here in the Philippines? Any past concerns that an incoming freshman should be aware of before going through this? And lastly, why does this course feel like an urban legend LOL? I barely see anyone talking about MBB at DLSU on its own online, and I'm not sure if the people taking it are way too busy to put their experiences out online, the course is secretly neglected or not as well established, or I'm just not looking in the right places.

Please help a freshy out,,,thank you!!
