What could this be ? Im 28 , female, 5ft4 , approx 85kg , I take amitriptyline ( very new med ) , gerederal ( 30/150 ) and pro biotics .

For the past 5 years ive been dealing with gut and bowel issues . Symptoms include :

Constipation

Abdo pain

Dihorea

Fatigue

Migraines

Leg pain

Urgency

Indegestion

Sour taste in mouth

Feeling sick

Breathlessness

Ive had alot of tests and all have come back clear apart from the endoscopy which was done around June or July last year which showed mild gastritis which I got after I had h.pylori . I took the meds for h.pylori and ive had numerous further testing for it all of which have come back negative. I took various PPI none of which worked. They either done nothing or made either the acid or my bowel issues worse . I dont think it helped they tried them one after another in a very short space of time . I also tried gaviscon advanced and rennies which done nothing. I was following a bland diet too . My symptoms went away for a bit ( the acid reflux ones) but in the past month have come back .

My official diagnosis are: IBS , GERD and fibromalgia.

Ive had ALOT of testing and things have mostly come back clear which I guess is reassuring but at the same time ive tried so so many things for my IBS and nothing works. I cant deal with it anymore . I am so symptomatic all the time and nothing works . Nothing they suggest , no amount of cutting things out .

So my question is ...what are the other possibilities other than " IBS"

I hate my bowel problems

I hate that theyve eaten away at my 20s and made it miserable ( started at 21 im 28 now )

I hate i cant eat what I want anymore

I hate that cutting the food out doesn't actually help at all but im too scared to add it back in because of the consequences that might occur

I hate that ive spent so much money on medications etc that dont work

I hate that I use so much energy and brain space trying to keep it under control and it doesn't work

I hate that doctors dont listen anymore

I hate having to spend so much money on " safe food "

I hate not having the money ( like now ) when I am craving something but im too fatigued to go get it myself

Mostly Ive hated my existence since I started getting sick with this and I realised probaly after the first 6 months that this was never going away .

Advice from fellow IBS people

Hi. Im looking for advice from UK 🇬🇧 people only as I need advice about the NHS.

My fellow IBS sufferer , how do you get doctors to listen to you ? .

I have tried everything . I have had every test under the sun . I have tried everything theyve suggested.

I've had: colonoscopy, endoscopy , blood tests, stool samples , small bowel MRI . Ive tried buscopan , low fodmap , no caffeine, no alcohol, no junk food , no fizzy drinks , no spicy food .

How do u get the doctors to listen and make them realise its not just IBS. ive been dealing with this 5 years and ive had enough. Ive lost jobs over it . Ive just had enough. How many BS things do I have to try before they realise its not just IBS ? . Ive got a face to face appointment with gastroenterology on the 1st June and to say im dreading it is a understatement. Its the first one ive had in 5 years and im so worried there just going to be argumentative or discharge me .

GERD diagnosis process

Hi everyone just looking to get some insight

Ive had acid reflux type symptoms for close to 2 years now , last year around June or July I got a endoscopy which showed mild gastritis. I took the pills done the diet etc etc and it went away for a bit eventually but then came back . I recently around two months ago got sent a notification via email that a diagnosis had been added to my record so I follow the link to look at it and its a diagnosis of GERD . This is where im confused....the only tests ive had which could have possibly shown GERD is a endoscopy which didnt show it ...the only time ive ever talked to the gastroenterologist is for about 1 min a very quick phone call to discuss my small bowel MRI results hes never asked about my history etc so is this usual process for diagnosing this ?? It feels like not much thought is going towards actually helping me and helping me manage my symptoms and finding out the root cause and im just having diagnosis thrown at me with no thought of my actual history and symptoms. I finally after 5 years of bowel and gut issues and two years of acid reflux type symptoms have a face to face gastroenterologist appointment and tbh im really really anxious.

Field doctor ready meals

Has anyone ever had a severe reaction to a " field doctor " ready meal? I've had a bunch of there ready meals and I tried a new one yesterday and it was just awful ....watery dihorea, lots of pain etc . Usually my main symptom is constipation 🙃 . That was the only new thing in my diet that ive never had before so I don't think it could have been anything but that

Field doctor meals

So I have bought the field doctor meals a couple of times now , usually I do well with them and I really enjoy the fact I can have low fodmap ready meals but yesterday I had the teriyaki tofu and I spent the whole night having watery , painful dihorea along with severe abdo pain . Has anyone else experienced this with any of there meals or with this meal ? .

In February I worked a temp job under a agency , the same job also finished in February as it was only a couple of weeks , on the 15/04/26 I started a new permanent job at screwfix . I got paid today , the pay was only just under £600 and yet I got taxed just over £100 which is obviously wrong . I have already contacted my work but how do I go about sorting this ? . Has this happened because they thought i had two jobs ? . I have now declared i no longer work at the recruitment agency on the HMRC app but how long will this take to sort and who do I contact ? Im really stressed about this money and who do I contact to make sure im under the right tax code?.
