I am a teacher and would like a teacher's perspective.

I (27F) just started casually dating another teacher (28M). Everything is going great.

He told me that he recently had a strictly friends with benefits relationship with a 20 y/o that he had *previously* (3 years ago) served as a student teacher to (at her high school). Nothing happened until they ran into each other a year ago and reconnected. They slept together a few months and then he ended it. (Edit: Yes, she graduated at 17)

Is this a red flag? I know nothing happened until after everything was legal. But still.... is this a sign that I should stay away?
