Anyone know any Dunnes around Dublin that has these?

I've a picky eater in the family and this is basically the only fish they'll eat (in fairness they are tastier than they've any right to be). Usually get them in Dunnes in The Square but they haven't had them for a couple of weeks. Cheers.

George's Street/Exchequer Street junction question.

Right, I'll make this an open question. I reckon I know what the answer is but the few times I've hit this junction I've seen drivers handle it differently.

As you can see from the overhead I'm coming down George's Street towards Dame Street turning right onto Exchequer Street. The light is at a pedestrian crossing after the junction. So when it's red (it doesn't have a filter) I've seen people both just sit at it (and get beeped repeatedly from Taxi drivers) and wait for green and a gap in oncoming traffic, then I've also seen people just turn right on the red. I know which one I do.

So my question is, which do you think is correct?

Easy LED display solution for those (like me) on a budget.

A cheap and easy LED display solution for those on a budget. I paid around €11 for this one on Amazon. It includes links to the Windows SW required to program the badge. It's really easy to do it too. You can literally program every LED and time them to cycle through the display. If you're on a budget it comes out pretty cool.

Bit of prototyping done on my Super Commando shield gauntlet.

The rest of the kit is complete so I decided to try and integrate a dynamic (rather than a static one I had made from clear acrylic and LEDs) energy shield into my gauntlet. Still a bit to work to make it look fully part of the gauntlet. I think the last shield graphic is the one I'll run with after I've added some light rings.

Edit to add the products I used, for those asking:

Fan

Battery Pack

DC Switch

Creating a Star Wars energy shield.

Firstly, I've no idea whether I'm even in the right sub, so if not just kick me out or, if you could find it in your hearts, maybe link me to the correct sub. Cheers.

So I'm building a Star Wars Super Commando (seen briefly in Ahsoka) and I want to create one of their shield gauntlets. I have the gauntlet built and I've managed to attach a holographic fan projector and make it portable. The next step for me is to create the graphics to display on the fan. So basically I'm looking for some advice as to what software i could download (hopefully free but not essential) to help me create the effects similar to what's seen here at 24 seconds into this video . Its final form will be an MP4 video, which I will then loop on the device itself.

I'm obviously a complete newb with any type of vfx but I'm usually a quick enough study with software and I don't really have a deadline with this, so I'm sure with a little guidance as to what software would suit best I can get something done that I'll be happy with.

Cheers for your time, any and all help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Ok, so I've no idea whether I'm even in the right sub for this question, if not either just kick me out or maybe suggest a better sub. Cheers.

Anyway I'm looking to find out whether it's possible to power a holographic projector with some type of portable power bank (not too heavy, gotta be able to carry it). I'm looking at the 42 cm projector. It says it's a 12V input, 15W power rating. It looks like a DC power supply in the body images but doesn't say so specifically as far as I can see.

Now I'm assuming it's not just simply to use a USB power bank with some sort of USB to DC converter cable (or is it?). Is there any way to do this? I wouldn't need it to run for a long time (half hour/hour intermittently).

Probably an absolutely idiotic question that shows my absolute ignorance of all things electrical supply but there's not stupid questions, right? RIGHT!? 😁

Thanks for suffering my ignorance anyway. Any info would be appreciated. Cheers all.
