What's the best way to clean this up?

UK based. I have to replace the diff rear cover bushes and want to clean up the outside. What's the best way to clean it? I see some people also paint them. Not sure if I want to paint it but if I did what paints etc. are best? My Dad used to say that with some parts the dirt and grime actually helps stop the metal deteriorating.

Another question is it a bad idea to clean out the inside yes or no? And if yes, what's the best way to clean the inside.

What are the closest to oem differential bushes?

Look I have an invisible diff bush! 😆

I'm trying to get the closest to oem in the UK?

BMW don't sell them.

It seems purple powerflex are close but still roughly 30% stiffer.

Are there any other brands you'd recommend?

Netflix and Prime, what is going on?

What's going on with online tv subscriptions?

I pay for Netflix and Prime etc. but a lot of their shows are rubbish or now old and when something new pops up of interest they want you to subscribe to another service like Apple etc.

I started watching Westies tonight, watched 1 episode and then they want you to take out a subscription to MGM. It's not on, this is just daylight robbery. I'm gonna cancel them all and just watch paint dry!

And so many adverts all the time. It just takes the pi\*\*. I understand these companies need to make money but come on, they're so greedy.

How much money do they want from us?!

Would you buy an M3 if the owner had done the big 3 and not a shop/garage?

Hi,

UK based here. So often people say they would like to buy an M3 and then the comments come 'make sure the big 3 are done'.

My question is would you still buy an M3 if the owner had done all the mechanics themselves?

With the subframe, they can say they stripped it down and prepped the boot floor but got someone in to weld the plates on, as welding takes time to learn.

The same with selling an M3. I saw a post today someone asking about selling their car and people saying you should get the big 3 done but it's a catch 22, if they paid to have it done and then sold the car they would hardly make any money.

Lamda sensors cable routing

Putting cats back on the car as it had catless pipes before.

Do the the Lamda sensor cables simply run above the exhaust and below the heat shielding?

This is how they were with the catless but it seems a bit slapdash, what if they end up resting on the actual exhausts won't they possibly melt?

What service manual guides do you use?

What manuals/guides do you use for working on your M3?

I downloaded the Bentley Manual that has a pic of an M3 on the cover and is 1258 pages long but it didn't have anything on the SMG pump. Maybe I just couldn't find it as it is a digital copy.
