When do airlines decide to add capacity to a route?

I frequently fly on a route served by KLM on a city hopper (Embraer 175/95 E1/2) twice daily.

The plane is usually sold out.

When would it be opportune for the airline to fly the route on a larger plane (a320 or 737) as they likely would be able to sell more seats?

How are those decisions made?

Many thanks in advance.

Does buying a new M43 still make sense in 2026?

Hi all,

Have been using a M43 for the last 20 years and have a small collection of lenses, including a lovely Olympus zoom. My latest LUMIX has given up on me, and I am contemplating to change formats. New M43s are not particularly cheap, and the used camera market is a bit wild. I always liked the compact size of the cameras, but is it likely that the format will survive?

Many thanks.

Recommended e-bike shops?

I am on the market for an e-bike, and would prefer to buy from a bricks- and mortar shop with people providing decent, knowledgeable advice and repairs. Any recommendations for Cork/West-Cork?

Thanks in advance.

Recommendation for commuter bike

Hi All,

I am looking for a recommendation for a Fiido ebike I can use twice weekly for a 29km commute to work. 95% of the way is pretty flat, with some steep hills about 2km. I am a moderately tall and heavy guy (6 foot, 100kg).

Any recommendations from the current Fiido range from people with similar profile?

Thanks in advance.

Giant Rhubarb

Hi,

on an afternoon walk noticed a large patch of giant rhubarb on a patch of garden bordering a public road down in rural West Cork.

I emailed the invasive species section at Biodiversity Ireland and was told that it's the responsibility of the landowner to get rid of it. As far as I understand, the person living on this property is not physically able to look after the garden anymore.

Does the County Council have a department for these issues?

The Suzuki LC Concept (short for "Light Car") is a retro-styled two-seater city car that debuted at the 2005 Tokyo Motor Show. It was designed as a modern homage to the 1955 Suzulight, Suzuki's first passenger car, and the 1967 Fronte 360.

The LC Concept is known for its "unbearably cute" appearance, featuring rounded shapes and minimal decoration.

Its silhouette resembles classic small cars like the Fiat 850 or original Mini, with large circular headlights and an oval grille.

The cabin follows a 1950s/60s aesthetic with a beige and bright-red color scheme. It features plaid-patterned seats, a spartan dashboard, and a retro three-spoke steering wheel.

As a kei car study, the LC Concept was built for urban agility rather than speed.

Powered by a rear-mounted 660cc 3-cylinder DOHC engine (Suzuki’s K-series) paired with 4-speed automatic transmission.

Power was delivered to the front wheels.

While the LC Concept never entered full production, its retro-cute DNA eventually influenced the Suzuki Lapin LC, a production model released in 2022 that uses similar design cues from the Fronte series.
