Can my art still be considered "art"?

I'm sixteen, and while trying to find an art style that fits me the most I found a method called posterizing.

Basically, what I do is reduce the colours of an image I want, trace the edges and paint the inside with my desired pallets. I am kind of proud of what I've made up to this point (The first three pictures being what I've done so far with this technique), but I can't stop thinking about the fact that I'm just really taking a picture, tracing it, and filling it with colour.

I've also tried posterizing in physical paper with acrylics (pictures 4 and 5, though 5 was taken directly out of Pinterest.) , but nonetheless I believe I'm the most comfortable doing it digitally rather than within a canvas.

I've seen this be called poster art and pop art, and I just wonder how people used to do it back then. Are there any other methods I could try to paint these kinds of portraits all by myself?

And now, with all that, could my art be truly considered "art"?

Concert for Bangladesh acrylic finished product

I'm kinda proud of how this turned out tbh. I used Titan White on George's suit and the Om symbol really trying to make them stand out and I believe I did a pretty good job. The Om could have been a little more centered in my opinion, but since it was kinda a last minute addition there's nothing much I could do.

In fact, my first idea was to replace the "Concert for Bangladesh" title with the Indian translation to "I me mine", but due to the fact that I didn't know Indian (I literally just passed the text through a translator instead) I was afraid of the idea that the text could have meant something else that I wasn't supposed to represent. Therefore, I lent myself into the idea that the Om symbol would had been much more appropriate. Plus, I accidentally made contrast between George's symbols on his jacket and the actual background, so that's pretty neat!

I myself am a great fan of the live album, and now having a somewhat physical form of it makes me appreciate it a little more :)

Om Shanti Om!

What are your headcannons of my OC just by looking at her?

I won't provide any information but her name:

She's Cass. No age. No preferences. I wanna see what reddit sees on her just by her looks

Meet my psychological horror OC!

Just wanted to shared one of my most loved (and only) OC I have. I'd like to see how this subreddit welcomes her so I can throw more info here and such :D

I've always been a fan of classic horror and thriller books, so I've poured all my likes into this poor woman over the years

***A surgeon finds herself being contacted by the man who kept his wind after being fired. She's asked to return to shadowy organizations and use her services for things she had cleansed from herself years ago.***

***She can't do it. She can't. She had covered herself in impecable scrubs for decades now. Who has been the one stitching wounds, under layers and layers of drugs, if not her?***
