Is helping hands worth it?

Earlier this year I applied for work at Delaware North Yellowstone from early June to late August but they wanted me to work longer, I declined due to my job in a school cafeteria starting back up in late August. I'm thinking of applying for the fall season. I'm a bit hesitant to work for Xanterra since I read some awful things about Xanterra but does it differentiate going part time for one month vs working full time, full season based on how the company treats you? If I apply and get hired, I plan on taking temporary leave at my current job and will decide if I'm willing to commit working a full season next summer. If anyone has worked HH or has good knowledge about it, I would love to hear about it.
