Jetblue canceled my flight can I ask for a full refund?

booked 2 separate tickets for me and my girlfriend. I checked the reservation today and found out our original flight was changed, and now we’ve both been reassigned to different seats on the another flight.

The problem is that we’re now seated in different rows, and the flight appears to be completely full.

Do I have any options here? Can I ask the airline to move us to seats together, switch us to another flight with better seating availability, or request a refund instead?

Thanks
ps. My trip is in July.

Edit: Got it fixed, thank you everyone

Everyone else noticing prices increasing rapidly?

A week ago all of July was $173 to MCO, google flights recommends waiting until May 28 to book a flight for August, but I think thats going to be a bad idea..

Do I wait or just book now? (Blue $188).

Get the In-flight offer or wait for the $400 + 40k miles offer? (Plus Card)

Want to start flying with SW and take advantage of the CC offers, do I take the in flight offer (65k) or do I wait?

Hi

I’m trying to help my girlfriend plan a big move and want to make sure we’re thinking about this the right way.

She’s moving to Florida (near Orlando) for a 1.5-year fellowship, with a high chance of staying long-term if things go well. She’ll be starting pretty much from scratch — she just graduated about a month ago, doesn’t have much in savings, and has student loans.

Here’s her situation:

  • Income (starting August): $42/hour, 37.5 hours/week ($81k/year before taxes)
  • Employer provides $2,000 for relocation
  • No meaningful savings yet
  • Has student loans
  • Currently planning to build an emergency fund.
  • Will be living alone.
  • Needs a car (public transportation isn’t an option where she’ll be)

What we’re currently thinking:

  • Rent target: ~$1,200–$1,500/month
  • She’ll likely need to finance a car
  • We’re trying to improve her FICO score over the next few months to get a better auto loan rate
  • Budgeting for additional expenses like car insurance, utilities (electric, water), internet, etc.

I’ll be visiting about once a month while she decides whether to stay long-term, but she’ll be financially independent day-to-day.

Appreciate any guidance — especially from people who’ve relocated recently or started from scratch in a similar situation. Thanks

My girlfriend is moving to Florida for a long-term fellowship with a good chance of a permanent position. She’s considering financing a car since she can’t bring her own, and renting or a short-term lease isn’t an option. She’ll be living there alone, so she needs something reliable with a warranty.

A Corolla Cross is a good option?

Flying to Orlando this August and my return flight is $177 (Blue Basic) or $188 (Blue).

I might book the outbound separately (even with another airline). Just want JetBlue on the way back for comfort.

If I book now and the price drops later, can I take advantage of the price drop?

I currently have about a $3,000 balance at 0% APR that I’ve been paying down over time.

I’m trying to decide whether I should keep the balance on my Discover card or transfer it to PenFed, which offered me 12 months at 0% APR.

For context, I have about 6 months left on my current balance transfer offer. I’m also a bit concerned because Capital One doesn’t seem very generous with balance transfer offers for existing customers.

Thanks
