i finally did the body for my custom novi! initially i wanted to use a rainbow high sparkle and shine wave two doll as a "liquid donor" but i actually started loving her and wanted to keep her that way.

i used pen ink mixed with water and baby oil to fill her up but i have a question, does anybody have any idea how to make the bubbles bigger? im not sure if its about the density of the liquids i used or just the really small space but if anyone has any advice on how to make the bubbles bigger and less i dunno, chaotic looking, id really appreciate it! if there is no way to change it its no biggie as im still really proud of how my little experiment turned out and im sure she'll look great once she's done :)

as for Anne, since the custom was originally an Anne arctic, i opened both bodies up, took out the glitters and snow from the custom body, added it to Anne's, filled her up with water and sealed it with superglue.

neither of them are leaking for now and i hope t stay that way!

unfortunately these are the only two pics i have of the process so i hope my explanation will suffice!

the first obvious step was to cut the head in half. thankfully ive been working on an Anne Arctic doll as a base, so it was pretty easy to cut her along the line on her head! afterwards i had to cut the plastic parts that kept the eyes inside and pop them out. for cutting the head i used a normal cutter and a cuticle scissor for the narrower places.

once the eyes were out of the sockets, i used the same cuticle scissor to pry them open from the back, as seen in pic 1. the eyes themselves are made out of two white parts and the eyes chips themselves which aren't that hard to take out. the lashes come off pretty easily. the more complicated part is to pry off the two white parts from one another.

once i had all of the parts separately, i used golden glitter glue (which worked surprisingly well) and black nail polish/black felt tip pen. for the eye shiny thing i just cut up a piece of paper and drew my design on it, then stuck it on using a bit of the sealant i used for the face. after putting the eyes back together, since i didnt have clear shiny sealant i just used nail polish for the clear part 😭 it worled pretty well but it did bubble a bit so beware. thankfully its not as noticeable as i thought it would and it turned out pretty well!

and after i finished working on the eyes i just shimmied them back into the sockets and used more of the sealant since in thicker layers it dries in this rubber like way, but im sure something like superglue wouldve worked as well.

EDIT: i forgot to mention that i used superglue as a first (thick) layer for the clear part of the eye and after it dried i added the clear nail polish to make the rounded shape.

as you may or may not know, i have been working on a custom using a broken down Anne Arctic i found as a base. well i finally finished doing her face and eyes! the face up was pretty easy to do, but the eyes were really tricky to open up and change the colours of, especially since i didnt have the specific materials needed.

next step is probably filling up her body with the liquid in Rainbow High's Whitney doll, doing her hair and then sewing her clothing. im so excited!

ive been working on my custom for a bit now. her base is an anne arctic doll that i found armless, naked and with her hair falling off. as i was taking off her factory paint i realised that i really love the pattern left on. i tried to mock up a design in the second pic (itd be more of a fade, darker up near the dots and lighter near her eyes)

the issue is that im also making her eyes gold, and partly her eyelashes (i intend to have them in gold on the lower half and blue on the upper half, similar to carmela sweet or frostina sprinkles). im worried the makeup might be too much gold for her. the only other golden parts in her design would be her shoes and maybe a stripe on her skirt.

what do you guys think?

i just got an armless anne arctic for a custom i intend to work on, she comes completely bare with only her head and body. id like to know if theres any doll like with preferably articulated arms that could fit her?

i tried out some monster high forearms on my other anne that kinda fit proportion wise, but that are a bit big, and id prefer to find some that have 3 points of articulation (shoulder, elbow, wrist) instead of two. any ideas on other doll lines arms i could use?

i also want to fill up her body like a rainbow high sparkle and shine lava lamp doll but im not exactly sure how to open up the back plug. id also like to take out the glitters from the one im using for the custom to fill up the other one more and id also like to add some liquid to her as it has completely evaporated. how could i do that? and what liquid could i use?

as the title says i finally got one of my grails, mimi. ive restyled her hair and fixed up her outfit so she looks really well imo, but her eye mechanism isnt working. is there any way to fix it? and also, is her hair accurate? i tried my best to replicate her original hairstyle but i couldn't really find any pics so i winged it.

i spotted this mimi on my vinted feed for aprox 100 euro and reserved her. the others ive seen were over 200. is this a good price for her?

i finally received my mae tallick in the mail and as she's gonna be the only doll i get for a while so i wanted to celebrate with a pic of my current collection! these are all of the dolls i have (plus a roe botik thats been stuck in a different country at my friend's cousin's place for a year at this point😭)

im working on finding a decently priced Malie Tasker or Sila Clops in eastern europe as they're my current holy grails, but i am filled with joy at the thought of my collection expanding! :3

i just got my ari in the mail and that strand of hair in the front is extremely frizzy. anyone know how to make it smoother looking? i tried using hair cream and things like that but it just wouldn't work

hi all! i decided to get a cheap ari i found as a preset for myself and one of the reasons why she was so cheap is because she has a few defects (a broken antenna, chipped glitter on her foot and missing shoes and helmet, but she has all of her accessories besides that).

im wondering how could i fix the chipped glitter on her foot? i know it will probably be covered by her shoes once i get them but id like to fix her up either way. the pic is what the seller sent me, although i do not see it as such a big issue since she has her original outfit and even her pet.

i was thinking of trying to use purple glitter nail polish but if anyone has any better ideas or if anyone has any tips on how to make her hair neater please let me know!
