This Band.

I miss it, I miss the humor of the band and the people; I will remember and value for a lifetime this era while looking forward to the future. What a time we all had. A clip I thought was funny and a good memory.

Worth going 2 consecutive nights?

Planning on doing 2 nights in a row. Knowing John and Dead & Co each night will probably different, but the trio doesn’t have a ton of variety unless they’re planning on putting some dead stuff or some new songs in there! Do yall think going multiple nights is worth it?

Any tips?

Cake has seemed to be at this level for maybe 2-3 days. Colonization went to this level extremely quick in maybe a day or 2. Seems to kind have kind of leveled off here. Decent amount of moisture on walls and lid, not completely sealed, still getting a little bit of airflow. This isn’t really enough colonization to start fruiting tho is it? Should I mist the wall a bit? Any other recommendations?

Next record/last couple record discussion

Art is indeterminate. It is a subject that I think has been destroyed by record companies and short form media. Art has been stripped down to the point where if it isn’t a hit overnight it’s considered bad by the masses it seems.

There was a post earlier today about how maybe the last couple of John records were too predictable or safe musically. While you may be on to something of what the last couple of records have portrayed or how “good” they’ve been, I think that may be more Columbia’s doing than Johns (if you think they have been off. I do not. TSFE is probably my 2nd or 3rd fav John record).

Art is art; there isn’t a correct way to make art, there isn’t bad art. The artist has done their part once the art is made. Record companies have their hands in way too much of big artists work nowadays, and I think that makes records maybe sound more robotic to folks; how good of a job has John done for 20 years making records that “pass” the labels standards AND hit so close to all of us? ESPECIALLY in the last decade.

I am SO thrilled to get the first John record in the Dead and Company era that won’t have to be put on the execs desk to get approved for release. He hasn’t been let off the leash 100% to make exactly what he wants without a label to approve it for a quarter century. It’s going to be something special.

Weird yellow bits?

Never had this before, anyone tell me what’s going on? The yellow parts almost have a chewed gum texture.

You’d think you would be able to get away from the game being broken in offline.

Game can’t even get wins and losses right for starting pitchers in rtts. Half the time I leave the game in the 7th and it’s 0-0, the reliever of course loses the game and I get credited with the loss.

Jeans ID!!

I need the fit of these jeans so bad😭 I think they’re RRL cause that’s what the boots are but confirmation on style would be so sick.

AD Funnies

Was in an unnamed AD today. Overheard an associate telling a couple that they are getting about 5 watches a week right now that they can sell. Another associate came up and asked if I’d been helped, I said yes thank you and tried to make small talk about what I’d heard the other associate say, repeated exactly what he said. She said “I don’t know what he’s talking about,” and she walked away😂

Made my friend and I laugh.
