One pot to rule them all

Grand daddy purp auto on the right and watermelon gelato auto on the left both of the preservation line and in like a 25 gallon pot, idk, it’s both large and in charge. Knocked em over last night, they recovered, so I knocked em over again!!!

Transplant shock?

Moved these girls from the greenhouse to my tent, and I can’t seem to peg down the deficiency… no signs of bugs on the under leaves, might’ve had my light too close or fan too directly pointed at em? Anyone seen anything like it? Leaning more towards above soil environment cause I only fed em 1000 ppm feed at 6.2 ph.

Beans, beans, the magical fruit!

Popped a menagerie but I’m too stoned/ lazy to type em all out. Only disappointment so far is the “Dunk Tank” from cannarado. Lemme preface though, it was a pack of 100 seeds (canna fam and mt Zion reg seeds bundle) that I got for 100 dollars, but I’ve tried ten of those individual beans (still have 2 left and it was only a 10 pack so that’s cool) and only one out of the 10 showed signs of life and it was a lil black tap root. Holding out hope for my last two but we’ll see. Still very happy with that bundle cause Mt Zion wasn’t on my radar and out of all the beans popped this round, those are the most robust of my plants.

Happy growing!!!

Apparently nutrient order matters?

Was doing my Google rabbit hole thing and it came to my knowledge that nutrient order when making feed water matters some times.

I’m lowkey poor, so I run a salt based nute schedule, blue miracle grow in veg w/ Botanicare calmag, and humic acid to a ppm of 500-700 depending if I’m using my sulfurous well water (180 ppm) or not. Gonna work towards getting away from urea nitrogen cause it’s bad for roots, so if anyone has experience with calcium nitrate in their tek lemme know, but I digress.

APPARENTLY, if you were to add the fertilizer together, particularly the calmag and humic acid without the water to dilute, you’ll apparently make a precipitate sludge that the plants aren’t going to be able to use. They say it’s best to go calmag into the water first, nutes, then humic acid last, and damn it if I haven’t been doing it backwards the whole time.

Maybe this can help someone, happy growing!

210 dollar order question

If I say, wanted to buy like 1000 dollars worth of seeds, am I breaking gro-code by breaking it up into 210 dollar orders to maximize freebies? BLESS YOU

Anyone mitigate excess sulfur (natural ppm 300) in well water with hydrogen peroxide?

Basically title, my most recent feed I gave her 2.5 scoops of mono potassium phosphate, 7 ml of humic acid, and 5 ml of botanicare’s calmag for a feed ppm of ~1500 and ph of 6.0. Growing in limed perlite inoculated with myco and perlite. My diagnosis is excess sulfur via way of well water. Anyone have any experience with that? It’s def got the rotten egg stank some times.

Graphitic carbon nitride

Has anyone synthesized this? I saw a gentleman on YouTube make it with urea and table sugar cooking at 500c but be careful cause it makes ammonia gas.

Thanks!

Bag seed genetics

So I have a literal question, I’ve run probably like 12-15 bag seeds over my life and every single one has been a female minus one that I really couldn’t make happy that went heavily hermaphroditic… I suppose my question is, genetically, if you got a bag seed and it was a result of herm’ing as a function of stress or sloppy genetics, it’s only got the chromosomes to make a full herm or female seed, correct?

So forcing the herm with STS doesn’t cause hermaphroditism down the line? Or is that where folks stabilize the line by breeding it back and getting your F1, F2’s and all that goodness. Thanks guys! Pic of my current bag seeds

How do you train your autos?

I know topping is out of the question, first time running em, and I usually knock my plants over to make it a bush anyways. What you guys do?

Would a fan leaf calyx mutation that got pollenated carry on that trait?

She’s a little fatty and I’m hoping it’s a seed in there 🥰

You guys mixing any hormones into your soil?

First time running autos and I didn’t know about the typical stunting that happens with upping size of pot… but curious for you folks who more build your own soil, are you putting any hormones? Also if anyone has used the “myco bliss” mycorrhizae or another soil innoculant, did you like it? Thanks! Gelat.og from seedsman
