Thinking about upgrading broadband only.

I am a pensioner and am not tech savy.I have been with EE since the orange mobile days.

If I upgrade from 150mb to 300 mb speeds how long will the activation process take as I do not need a new router and how long will I be without the internet. Many thanks in advance.

Ducolax....never again

How to describe this.l have alternating IBS C and D.Anal fissure and Hemerroids. Got badly constipated and was pooping small musket balls.

Decided to take the devils pills

Ducolax was an obvious invention by a sadomasochistic son of a bitch

About 7 hrs after taking 2 of the demonic tablets I started with mild muscle cramps..

Fair enough as time rolled on my lower abdomen started to feel like Mile Tysons punch bag being hit with a steel mallet.Intense cramping pain, sweating ,mild upper abdominal pain ,lower back aches

No real poop ,just a stream of diarrhoea

A few hours later anal itching ,mucus and a burst hemerroid.

.If they gave these little pills to violent criminals,a few a day for a month I believe the crime rates in every country would fall significantly.

No more Ducolax for me.Movicol only from now on.Thrrew away the rest of the devils Ducolax pills away...Satan can wait.

Mystery parce Legit card.

Got a red card from the post office through my letterbox concerning a special delivery parcel.

Great !.

However I have checked everyone I know and all the online companies I am signed up with that have my address. No one knows who sent it.

Sort of perplexed as it is ment to be arriving tomorrow.

Tracking shows it was sent via Home Counties North on Wednesday. All I know is it is a parcel I never sent for.

I get a lot of Amazon stuff but it's not from them. Now feel a bit confused.Any advice welcome as they are delivering Saturday.

I grew up in that era as a teenager, the difference to today is thought provoking. Notice for a start no one is carrying a mobile phone.Price guns to mark products and almost everyone pays in cash. Also fond memories of green shield stamps.

The stark reality of employment at Tesco...jobs and changes.

2019 Metro/Express Reorganizations: Restructuring across Metro and Express stores put up to 6,000 workers at risk, as the company altered store layouts, simplified shelf-stacking, and replaced deputy managers with lower-paid "shift leaders".

2022 Night Shift Changes: Tesco put nearly 1,500 jobs at risk by ending night shifts in 80 stores and 40 petrol stations, transferring the work to daytime replenishment.

2023 Restructuring: Approximately 2,100 roles were impacted when Tesco reduced Lead and Team Manager positions, phased out fresh food counters, and closed select pharmacies. Affected staff were offered alternative options like shift leader roles or redundancy.

2024 "Fire and Rehire" Supreme Court Case: Tesco attempted to use "fire-and-rehire" tactics to force distribution staff to give up permanent retention payments.

2026 Head Office & Distribution Changes: Tesco cut 180 head office jobs at its Welwyn Garden City headquarters. It also proposed cutting 380 roles nationally, placing around 150 night shift workers at risk of redundancy at the Teesport warehouse. Affected staff were given the option of transferring to day shifts or taking redundancy.

Tesco is constantly restructuring to save money, putting jobs at risk and trying to cut hours is the norm now.Apart from a few staff in the Ivory tower no one is truly safe.

What do current Tesco staff think of the state of employment at what used to be one of the better companies in the UK.
