Hi, I’m 23 years old female and I’m looking to take health insurance for my parents.

My father is 56 years old and my mother is 51 years old. My father has diabetes, not insulin one.

My mother is generally fit and healthy. She hasn’t had any major health checkups so far. As far as we know, she doesn’t have any diagnosed conditions. Her eyesight is a little weak, but there is no major medical condition documented.

I’m currently working in a corporate job and earning around ₹25k per month. Since I also have to manage my rent and other monthly expenses in Hyderabad, I’m looking for a policy that is affordable and manageable within my budget.

My parents live in Kanpur, so I’d also like to know about cashless hospital coverage there.

This is my first time taking a health insurance policy, so I would also appreciate some guidance on the essential things I should check before purchasing a policy, such as waiting periods, exclusions, co-pay, room-rent limits, claim process, and anything else I should be careful about. I also want to make sure I understand the policy properly and don’t fall for any misleading sales practices.

Looking for a female double-occupancy room in a flat in Hyderabad, preferably within a ₹5–7k budget including maintenance.

I’m a fresher, so I’m looking for something affordable and don’t want a high rent.
