Looking at buying a 2004 passat wagon with the 2.8l V6

I'm looking at purchasing a 2004 Passat Wagon with the 2.8l V6. It is at just over 190k miles and selling for $1,700. He says it runs and drives great. Is this a worthwhile purchase? What things should I look for when checking out the car and test driving it? Any advice?

Is it an issue if my timing belt isn't fully on the camshaft? 1995 Honda Civic DX

When I start the car it moves off the camshaft a bit. It runs pretty steady once it adjusts. Is this ok to drive?

1995 Honda Civic DX distributor replacement.

I’m replacing the distributor on my ’95 Civic as I was not getting spark and ran into an issue with the wiring. One set of plugs lines up perfectly, but these two connectors don’t match. Would it be reasonably straightforward to splice the old connector back onto the new distributor, or would I be better off returning the distributor and getting one with the correct plugs? (The old plug does have more wires than the new one as well.)
