Question

Got blackout drunk around new friends and now I’m scared I annoyed them or ruined the friendship

I went out drinking with some new friends yesterday and ended up getting way more drunk than I intended. I thought I had it under control at the time, but there’s a period of the night that I genuinely don’t remember.
Now I’m really anxious that I might have said or done something annoying, embarrassing, or inappropriate during that time. I don’t actually have any evidence that I did anything bad, which is almost making it worse because my brain keeps filling in the blanks.
One of the friends has also been seeing out messages on the group without responding. Since these are relatively new friends, I don’t know them well enough yet to know whether that’s normal for them or whether it means they’re annoyed with me.
I’m worried they’ll just stop talking to me instead of telling me if I did something that bothered them.
For people who have been on either side of this situation: would you tell a new friend if they had been annoying or acted badly while drunk? And would someone getting too drunk once be enough to make you distance yourself from them?

Trying to Make Peace With the Circumstances of My Birth

I’m 26 and I have cerebral palsy affecting my left side. There’s something I’ve struggled with for years that I’ve never really been able to talk about openly, and I’m wondering if anyone else has dealt with something similar.

From what I’ve been told, when my mom was pregnant with me, people around her constantly warned her about C-sections and told her they were dangerous and should only be done as an absolute last resort. When she went into labor, there were complications and the doctors recommended a C-section, but she kept refusing because she was scared. Eventually they told her that the baby was losing oxygen and needed to come out immediately. By the time they convinced her, it was apparently a little too late, and the oxygen deprivation is what led to me developing cerebral palsy.

What makes it harder is that she learned from that experience. When she had my younger siblings, she agreed to C-sections right away when needed, and they were all born healthy.

I know she didn’t wake up that day wanting to hurt me. I know she was scared, probably overwhelmed, and trying to make what she thought was the safest decision based on what she had been told. I’ve never been pregnant, so I can’t fully understand what that fear feels like.

At the same time, I can’t help feeling resentful sometimes. I look at the challenges I’ve had because of CP and part of me thinks, “If she had agreed sooner, would my life be different?” Then I feel guilty for even thinking that because she’s my mom and I know she loves me.

How do you make peace with something that can’t be changed?

Need advice fixing a damaged apartment carpet

My friend asked me to house-sit while she was out of town, and unfortunately I brought my dog with me. Long story short, my dog ended up causing significant damage to the carpet.

The problem is that my friend rents the apartment, and I really don’t want her getting in trouble with the apartment management or maintenance staff since this was completely my fault. The damaged area is too large for one of those donor carpet patches, so that doesn’t seem like an option.

I’ve called around trying to find matching carpet, and even contacted the apartment complex to ask what type they use. They told me it’s a commercial/industrial carpet that’s only sold directly to property management companies and not to individuals.

Has anyone dealt with something like this before? Are there carpet repair companies that can replace a larger section and make it look seamless? Is there a way to source matching apartment-grade carpet, or am I basically stuck going through the apartment complex?

Looking for real friendships in Jordan

Hey everyone,

I moved back to Jordan recently, and honestly, I’ve been feeling pretty lonely.

I’m hoping to meet people who are interested in building genuine, long-term friendships. The kind where we can go out for drinks, party, explore new places, laugh about stupid things, and make great memories, but also sit down at 2 AM and have deep conversations about life, consciousness, the universe, purpose, relationships, and everything in between.

I miss having friends who are curious about the world and open to meaningful connection. People who don’t just want drinking buddies or surface-level conversations, but who actually enjoy getting to know each other on a deeper level.

A little about me: I’m someone who loves meeting new people, having adventures, and talking about almost anything. Lately I’ve realized that what I miss most isn’t activities, it’s connection.

If you’re in Jordan and feel like you’re looking for something similar, send me a message or leave a comment. Whether it’s grabbing coffee, going out for a drink, exploring the city, or just having one of those conversations that makes time disappear, I’d love to connect.

Cost of living in Jordan

Hi everyone,
I’m moving to Jordan and wanted to get some insight from people who live there or have experience with the cost of living.
Would 1300 JDs per month be enough to live comfortably? I won’t have to pay rent or buy groceries, but I will have a monthly car loan payment.
I’m mainly wondering whether that income would leave enough room for things like:
Going out to restaurants and cafés
Shopping for clothes and other personal items
Beauty care (salons, skincare, nails, etc.)
Occasional entertainment and social activities

Kelme Jordan

I preordered a Jordan national team World Cup jersey from Kelme Jordan a few weeks ago to be shipped to the U.S., but I haven’t heard anything from them in about 3 weeks. No shipping update, no response, nothing.

What has me even more concerned is that it looks like their Instagram page has been deleted or disappeared.

Does anyone know what’s going on with Kelme Jordan or if there have been any issues with orders recently? I’m hoping to get the jersey in time for the June 16 match and am starting to worry that my order is stuck or won’t be fulfilled.

Any information would be appreciated. Thanks!
