Hello, I would like some advice regarding my current situation. My girlfriend is facing financial difficulties right now, even though she has a job. Her salary is enough for her own needs, but she and her family are expected to chip in for the house rent and bills, which has been causing her a lot of stress. When we get into arguments, this issue often comes up.

Today, she asked me if I could go to the office only for half a day because she wants to spend more time with me. I told her that I couldn’t, as my training is almost over, and I want to leave a good impression on my supervisor since I’ve already had a lot of absences. The absences were mostly because I wanted to be there for her, but now I’m close to finishing the training, and I don’t want to jeopardize that. She got upset and turned off her mic and camera while we were on FaceTime, so I ended the call out of frustration. Later, I sent her a long message explaining my side, but she just replied with "ok."

Can I ask for your opinions regarding this matter?

I forgot to mention, now we don't contact each other since I wanted to have my own space bc this is mentally draining me. But I also want to be there for her : ( It saddens me tho that she doesn't make the first move in communicating with me.
