In awe but lacking ecosystem

In awe but lacking ecosystem

The last foldable I had was a Fold 2. So much has changed.

I am in awe at how slick the phone is. It is so thin. The angular design is amazing - slightly industrial, very slick. Compared to the new Pixel Fold 11 I can't stand that design, Samsung definitely beats it in terms of looks.

The display quality - both outside and inner are so crisp.

The outside display is a bit weird in terms of how apps are displayed - text sizes are inconsistent. The slim and tall candy bar is amazing to look at and hold but a bit awkward to use for typing.

Flex mode is a bit of a gimmick but you can have a lot of fun with it just for the sake of something different.

Overall it's an amazing luxury device and the engineering and quality is insane. I'm not sure how much I'll use the Flex mode, but the inside display for media, editing, internet etc is literally a game changer.

As most other people say - the ecosystem is lacking apps that actually make use of this form factor, apart from a few gimmicks

Tasbeeh app - new advanced functionality but easy to use and polished UI

Assalamualaikum.,

I'd like to share my new app with you all, I am of course biased but it is the most polished, yet powerful and easy to use Tasbeeh / Zikr app.

I didn't find other apps like this so I've built it myself. And I use it multiple times a day myself. I hope it will help you as well as many others inshaAllah.

Features:

- Voice counting: say the phrase out loud and the app hears it and counts it

- Counters can auto-reset daily, at a reset time you set (useful if your day starts at Fajr, not midnight

- A program is a saved sequence of phrases with a target count each, run as one session. E.g. Tasbih of Fatimah = 33 SubhanAllah, then 33 Alhamdulillah, then 34 Allahu Akbar. The app moves you through the steps and tells you where you are

- Automatic mode: the app recites each phrase aloud and counts for you. Put the phone down and just listen

- Full-screen session view for when you don't want anything else on screen

- Build your own programs from any phrases, in any order, with any targets

- In-app dua Library for you to add your own duas and zikr phrases.

- Reminders, Stats, customisation in the Settings.

- Polished professional and smooth UI

- Counting works with bluetooth clicker / selfie remotes!

100% free with no ads.

100% private - Everything is stored on your phone. No account, no sign-up

Burst & Interval Camera Pro (Android 16 only)

Burst Camera Pro is a high-performance photography tool designed for capturing fast-moving action - kids, pets, sports, lightning etc.

Enjoy the unique and technical UI.

The app also supports taking photos at set intervals, eg if you want to capture a sunset timelapse by taking photos every 5 minutes you can easily set that up!

If you would like a promo code please leave a comment here and DM me.

Please note due to the complex nature of this app it is being released for Android 16 only. I will aim to make this compatible with Android 14 and Android 15 in the coming months. If you are interested in being a tester for this in future please leave a comment with your device and android version and I will contact you in future.

[Android] New recipe deployment app - need beta testers

I'm building a recipe deployment app, and in-app photo development that is processed on the camera like raw studio.

Yes, there are 2 other apps that already do this but they're expensive and use communities and subscription models and I just needed something simple light, easy, minimal.

I've built it and it works with my X-T50.

I'm looking for volunteers with different camera models who will be able to test the app with their camera.

In exchange you will receive a lifetime code for the app.

Please DM or comment if interested.

Note: Unfortunately this won't support older models. If you camera is not compatible with the in-camera development of X RAW STUDIO or the other apps then my app won't work either, sorry.

As if the scumbaggery couldn't get any worse

So my billing was set to the middle of the month for some reason, out of my control.

I cancelled my subscription expecting to be able to use my credits until the end of the month. But no, they took my money for the whole month but cancelled my access on the billing date.

Strong F.U. to the business and Product people at GHCP.

It's a shame because the devs have actually built something good.

So my frustration with my Podmic USB was that if i connect it to my phone, record something, i have to then unplug it to listen to it from the phone speakers.

Yes, i could plug headphones into the mic but i don't want to use headphone. I use my mic quickly and lightweight - i want to use the mic as input and keep phone speakers as the output.

Couldn't find anything that would help me with this, so i ended up building an entire audio production suite app for Android.

You can explicitly select the mic as the input and the phone speaker as the output.

On top of that you can edit and mix tracks together. Currently the editing functionality is pretty basic but will be expanding on it soon.

This was a major frustration for my use-case of the mic - solved!

You can use the app for free with advanced functionality being paid as this took a lot of work.

Though i'd share - hopefully this helps people in similar situations
